its probably your auxiliary drive belt (fan belt) needing tightening or needing replacing.
I dont know lol im a girl i dont understand this sort of thingits just a squeeking noise i thought it might be something to do with the suspension or something. What will happen if my fan belt snaps? will it break my engine?

If your fan belt breaks, the engine will overheat because the water pump won't be working. Fan belts rarely drive fans these days, which are usually electrically driven on a thermostat. If the fan belt also drives the alternator then the battery won't be charge. A snapped fan belt won't break the engine, but you need to get it sorted. A snapped cam belt, on the other hand, can do immense damage if you're unlucky.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Two things spring to mind.
May be wrong here but assuming the crank undamaged and that the sump can be removed by lifting the engine a little off it's mounts, then the cost of new big ends should not have exceeded a couple of hundred quid?
And please, no disrespect intended but with such a bad experience of a car, why did you buy the same again?I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

i think i was unlucky with this one!!! i know quite a few people with this car, 2 have 120k on clock and havnt had any problems with engine so im willing to try again.. we used to have a vectra as a second car, we spent over £1000 in repairs in first year so sold it. got another vectra and have now owned it for 3 years with it only going to garage for mot and service.0 -

You certainly don't like being beaten.
For what it's worth I bought a year old Vectra in '99 and kept it for 8 years. Hardly a problem worth mentioning so good look with that one.
The Citroen is a worry tho, but then again who am I to speak as I now have a Renault:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
