Please help with knocking noise

  • It is very likely to be the CV joint from the way you describbing it. It might be not as we can't hear the knocking. It can also be the releasing bearing of the clutch. I might be wrong. Go to your local Citroen dealer and see what they think, but, again, it seems to be the CV joint according to your description.

    Good luck

    Hi

    I echo what goldspanners said.
It is a bit odd an engine fully serviced in a fairly driven car go like that  . It might be true in a real world, but, from the way you describe things, it sounds a cv joint or a clutch issue more than an engine problem.

if i knew where it was coming from i would OBVIOUSLY tell you where. 3 mechanics have looked at it and cant tell from where its coming from coz as you should know sound travels
So, they have looked and have no idea, but we who can neither look nor listen are now going to fix it?

I would say the best you are going to get would be a list of guesses to investigate further. You need to provide information about the frequency of the knock and whether it changes with road speed or engine speed and if the gear is changed, does the noise work according to road speed or engine speed. In short, once you understand what info you need to provide, you will be at least nearly able to diagnose for yourself.
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

So sorry that my gloomy prediction in the first post turned out to be true. Big end bearings going is a real bummer.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

    a rubber what?

its probably your auxiliary drive belt (fan belt) needing tightening or needing replacing.

I am still have some doubts as how this has happened to your car!
However, when it comes to cars, you never know what might happen!

Good luck with your next car.
