None really, i told them this morning to collect the telly on friday as i was away for a few days, they said they wanted it back today as the customer who had bought it was shall we say eager to have his telly, now the same under manager tells me to keep it till next tuesday so the actual manager can be made aware of the circumstances. I can't get rid of it now lolHello again0 -
Sounds a bit weird!
Were they intending on doing anything about the one you bought?0 -
have you checked the model no. of the tv you have vs the TV you (thought) you had bought?
just to see what spec difference there is
tbh i wouldnt let the TV go until they turn up with a replacement0 -
If the original purchaser of the TV currently in your house can demand his TV, then you can demand your TV and tough !!!!!! on the member of staff who bought it at a knockdown price. Don't give them the TV back. YOUR tv is in the staff member's house, being used and they evidently haven't seen fit to go round to the staff member's house and demand it back, so why should they do it to you?0

I would get them to collect the TV and im sure you will get it loads cheaper elsewhere and you will be quids in0

Hello again
Having spoken to my daughter, she says had the rep gone to your house that is higgly unusual as if a mistake had been made they would contact you by phone or post. She recommends that you speak to a team leader or manager at the store as it is the salesmens mistake and not yours. Her own store would compensate you but it is different at each branch as its at the managers discretion. If i can be of any more help please ask.2008 wins

Well you know the answer, get back to the store and point out that if they can come knocking on a CUSTOMERS door demanding the TV back due to their error then they can do the same to the member of staff who bought your one.
But now the TV the staff member bought is secondhand, not brand new.
The OP bought a new TV, not a secondhand one. Curry’s need to supply a brand new TV – which they can’t. So they ought to supply one of equal or better value.
The OP should keep the one they have. Or keep it until Curry’s deliver one of equal or better value.0 -
Why are Curry’s or more rightly the under manager farting around involving 3 customers?
The OP and staff member could keep the TV’s they have. All Curry’s/ the under manager needs to do is sort out the customer who wanted the TV the OP has – just offer that customer a better TV for the price they paid.
Perhaps the real manager has been away and the under manager is trying to cover up the fiasco.0
