I think that if it is a cyst, it is possible that they will tell you on the day.
You sound a little bit more up-beat now. Go play with Nash!:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0 -

I'm not so sure about 'upbeat' but so many people have told me that it probably is a cyst I am praying they are right. It's going to be a long week but I have no doubt I will get through it. I rubbed some tea-tree oil on it earlier, maybe that will make this nasty cyst go away~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
I had a cyst some where else on my body...lets not go into where!!! Lol. It was so painful i put a numbing cream on it, i dont know whether thats a good thing to do or not!
If you really do feel like you need some more advice or you are really worried, do and see your gp again or one of the nurses.
Your doing great, much more level-headed than me!:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0 -
Hi Ember,
Never been in your situation, but my mum has twice. Both times it turned out to be nothing, but a couple of hellish fortnights of worrying. You're right, it will be the longest week of your life, but perhaps try to keep yourself busy. For example, have you got stuff to pack up for your housemove? I always find distraction the best cure for worrying, divert some of that horrible nervous energy into the task in hand.
Try to keep positive, hard as it may be.

Ember999 wrote:Hi Taxi,
The NHS appointment is for the 13th September at 9:30am. I hadn't as yet made an appointment with Bupa for private care as a) didn't think it was affordable b) just when we were talking about it on here the Hospital phoned and offered the NHS cancellation appointment with the Breast Specialist.
Good luck Ember - hopefully it will be nothing sinister - and the odds are heartening aren't they?
Not sure if it's been mentioned but even if you went private, there's a good chance you'll see the same specialist as you would if you went NHS.
Best wishes anyway x0 -
Hi Ember, my sis-in-law found a lump in her breast a couple of years ago. It turned out to be a cyst
Very common, she was told.

Thank You everyone, I don't know what I would do today without MSE and all the support and advice I have been given. My eyes are red-rimmed and swollen but I am feeling more positive. My hubby cannot be a home as we have a new mortgage from hell to pay next week, so being alone with my terrors has been awful but you all are helping tremendously. I have convinced myself it is a cyst, too much stress lately, Plymouth being put to sleep 4th August, me being ill for 3 weeks after that with grief, depression, not eating etc. buying cottage, all that stress etc. now this lump. I can honestly say it has been the worst month of my life ever. I hope whoever is up there, is looking down on me and they give me good news next tuesday, all I ever dreamt of was me and my family in our little cottage in Scotland. My hubby has worked so hard to find the money to buy it for me, we both lost our cat a month ago which devastated us both and the 14th September was to be such a special day for us. We have dreamed of this for 18 years. Life is so unfair sometimes. But, I am going to get through this, like many of you all bravely did. I hope it's a cysts and I will be jumping around like a maniac with the sheer glee of relief next tuesday and I am going to drive down that motorway to my new cottage and be the happiest girl in the world when I have the all clear....All i want for Christmas this year is a 'clear' result at the Hospital and the keys to my new cottage. I hope Santa is listening to me.

Santa and all the other good people are listening to you Ember and I'm sure it will be the happiest Christmas . A new house , new kitten and that pesky cyst no longer the nightmare it was.
Good luck with all your dreams.
I like the name of your kitty.. Nash. That was my maiden name.0
