Hi, Only just seen this thread! I'm the founder of https://www.uk-beaders.co.uk it's a resource site for anyone interested in beads and making jewellery! You'll find hundreds of sellers, a map of bead shops, resource sites and much more! We also have one of the busiest beading forums in the UK too.

Hope you enjoy and find it useful. :D

Yip they were off ebay .... seller is heartsanddiamonds

    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Heartsanddiamonds

select lampwork from left hand column .... they combine postage and only took 7 days delivery which I thought was great coming from Singapore ...... ENJOY

Please be aware while these appear good value (and can be so long as you are aware of what you are buying) they are not kiln annealed (the slow controlled process of cooling the beads to make them strong) so they may break more easily than some other beads.

So long as you don't pay over the odds for them then go for it, they are often a very affordable alternative to artisan made beads, but it's worth being aware of this.

Is there a proper name for those beads that are tear drop shape and with the hole close to the top pointy bit of the bead and goes side to side, not top to bottom. I want to use them to bead the edge of a cushion
    Thanx

THANKS Kitschkitty ..... I absolutely love all the Artisan beads and do purchase for myself ... but the people who buy my wares at craft fairs would not pay the price .... I find they like to be able to buy in and around the £10 mark for necklace and earrings so they suit me for doing stalls .... although if someone comes to get a bespoke piece I can have a look online and show them what is available if they are willing to pay.

Love this thread. I have been making jewellery for around 3 months now nd am trying to get my bridal jewellery business off the ground. I am considering trying fairs etc but not sure where to go to find details of up and coming craft or bridal fairs. here is a few of my creations:

If anyone has any ideas where I might find details of any craft fairs that are hapening I would be grateful for the info.

Hi people, i'm sadly having to sell off my jewellery making things. I haven't got the time now to do anything (with baby elliot here!) and need the space (and the money to be honest)! So if anyone's after some cheap beads and findings etc, send me a PM lol.....

Looks like i'll be just sticking to the scrapbooking now, just hope i get some time to do it!!

    keely.

    What is an Alice's box?

I store mine in colour order :anal: in those clear plastic flat compartmentalised boxes from DIY stores, intended for storing screws etc and stack them in sturdy hat boxes, so they are all neat (supposidly) and look nice :)
