    Wow newlywed, they are lovely!

Do you make the bags from fabirc yourself or buy them and 'do them up'?

I love the sliver crystal set, especially the choker (or braclette).

    Thanks :)

I've made a few other bags too but not with beads. I usually make the bags and jewelery for me for special occasions so that my outfit is all co-ordinated ;)

Thanks Vicks! I've just entered! Good luck everyone!

I got my PMC kit last week. My first attempt was a big fail! I made it too thin, didn't let it dry long enough, didn't inscribe the pattern deep enough and over-fired it, so it melted.

BUT, it did teach me what NOt to do!

My second attempt, I'm so happy!!!! I made a pendant in a rough oval shape with DS1's thumb print in the middle and pressed in little tiny stars and hearts (they are for nail art and are like shapped glitter) round the outside. I let it dry, then on the back hand scribed his name and todays date (Now, I wish I had done his date of birth, but there is a plan) he helped make it too so it is very rough looking with places where he has placed stars and we have more bits of finger prints! Fired it perfectly this time and polished it up. It is a bit over burnished at the back (ie scratched) but kinda fits with the feel.

Next 'piece' will be DS2's thumb print (will be fun, a wriggly 3 year old) and then a smaller one with their DOB's and maybe our wedding date or something, like a collection of specail dates.

More I work with it the more I learn I guess.

Pics to follow at some point, when I'm less excited and there is more light.

nothing as spectacular as yours Tiamai_d. But I bought some of those wine glass silver rings from ebay and a cheapie orange coloured necklace (1€ bought for the beads) to start doing glass ´charms´ for our halloween party. Theory is orange beads with a bit of decoration will become pumpkins and witches faces
I use a lot of beads bought from market stalls as cheapie necklaces, but I use the beads to decorate lace doillies for glass/jug covers which keep the flies from taking swimming lessons

Hi everybody, have never made jewellery, but stumbled across this post and got really intrigued (as you do!!:p ) So thought I would research on the net to see if it's something I could or would do, and an online tutorial recommended a bead board? Would that be a worthwhile thing to buy? Sorry if this sounds a stupid question, am not actually looking to sell anything, this is hopefully gonna be a hobby to stop me thinking about food (have gone on a diet, and sitting in front of telly at night is my BIG weakness :o )
