I want to make some stud ear-rings for my Mum, who can't wear dangly ones at all. I have some ear posts, I want to attach several pearls in a pattern so can't just glue 1 bead directly onto the post. Does anyone know how I would do this? Is it possible to buy some sort of "plate" to make glue the design onto then glue this onto the ear post?

Hello all you talented people!!!
I would like some advice please.

My friend designed and drew this design for a cross necklace, I would like to get it made for her as a present. I was quoted about £300 :eek: from a couple of jewellery makers!

I'm not fussed about what it's made of, infact I'd prefer using coloured glass rather than stones, as it's the look that is important, not the purity of the metal etc. Which is also why I want it made as cheaply as possible.

Would anyone be happy comissioning the cross for me? Or give me any advice on where to go from here? I don't make jewellery myself and don't have a creative bone in my body!

You could attach it to a post type earring and then put a decorative bead or something in the middle and on the bottom you could hang charms, beads whatever you want really.

Raphael, if you go over the the UK Beaders forum, or the BeadBuddies forum, there are people on there that are silversmiths and some that work in Precious Metal Clay, they may be able to help you, both forums have a section for PMC workers, I am sure that someone should be able to help you out, if you need to, tell them Delta sent you

You may have to register to post, don't worry it's free, and most of the people have their websites in their signatures or profiles so you can have a look at their work, and they really are nice people, and I am sure that one of them could give you a good price.

Hi Angp - you aren't the Ang from Ang's Attic are u??? If so you are not allowed to self promote!!!!! Just saying as otherwise the mods on here will tell you!!!

I just bought a load of bookmarks from Hong Kong very cheaply with engraving on which were nice and cheap so I'm ok for them right now!!!
