I do a regular sweep every Sunday to add new recipes into the Index. Anything before the regular polite reminder has been indexed - everything after it hasn't yet. Excellent thanks everyone, btw cath-w, just to make you feel better, I have just had to buy 150 pumpkins for the kids to carve for the halloween disco at school. Just a good job I didn't have to bring them home on the bus !!!! (Hope they compost !))0

But I remember transporting said pumpkin in my old-fashioned pram, it was huge and made a big bulge in the cover, my poor son had to curl up so as not to be squashed by it!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Pumpkin fritters are yummy too - sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.
Used to love these when I was a kid, don't have the recipe, but I found this one which sounds similar: http://www.recipezaar.com/11123"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Heyder, I don't think this has been mentioned (apologies if it has) but I would seriously recommend putting the pumpkin seeds in the oven for 10 mins or so (till they're nicely toasted and maybe popping a wee bit)! They are gorgeous!
A wee bit pistachio-ey (ish), great on yer muesli etc.... Give it a try, just don't burn them, they go very bitter!
You could maybe try dry frying them to achieve the same result!
They compost down fine, btw0 -
Yes, I forgot abut pumpkin seeds - very tasty roasted and very good for you (high in zinc). You can add them to your bread dough too (pumpkin seed and sunflower seed bread is yummy)"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
