I love pork loin
Best recipe I have is to mix 4 parts soy sauce to 1 part honey, small amount of grated ginger and zest of 1 orange.
Cut the pork into 8cm (ish) long portion, seal in a frying pan and put in the oven covered in the sauce. Baste every 5 mins or so (if you want!). Takes about 15-20mins to cook.
Serve covered with the sticky sauce :T
So tasty. I think it was a good food recipe (sticky pork), so worth looking on their website.
Also, Gary Rhodes has a gorgeous recipe for pork loin, if you have his Rhodes around Britain (I think) book.

Hi
I have a slow cooker (new Christmas pressie) and bought a large pack of MrT pork steaks and wondered if anyone had any recipes that i can do in my SC ?
I have a bottle of interesting looking cider that I would like to use plus the usual carrots/potatoes/onions/mushrooms/apples etc plus various stockcubes, many herbs/spices and a tonne of other bits and pieces in my cupboards
Or is this sort of cut of meat no good in my SC and best grilled like I usually do it ?
Thank you0 -
Personally I would keep pork steaks for grilling as casserole pork will be cheaper.
Not saying it wouldn't be nice (it's making my mouth water actually, pork, onions, mushrooms, apples, cider, herbs........Homer Simpson like slurp)

Yes it sounds like Boczek.
You can chop it up and have it with scrambled eggs or also use it in soups.
It is very fatty but tastes fantastic. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
I just tried this one for the first time yesterday;
mix 1 tsp (per person) of honey with 1 tsp (pp) of Dijon Mustard and 25ml of olive oil. Mix well. Marinade loin chops in this for at least an hour (longer the better), then grill. Its delish, they come out all sticky and gorgeous:A:A:A:A:A:A0 -
Hi
I wonder if any of you lovely ladies can give me any inspiration.Tthere are 4 pork loin steaks in the fridge which I defrosted a pack of yesterday. What can I do with the remaining 4? yesterday they had them with mushrooms jacket potatoes and green beans, so maybe something more saucy today to make them seem a bit different? or could I cook them in something then refreeze them? Sorry to sound dense, I am veggie and clueless when it comes to meat! I have got lots of things like tinned tomatoes, plenty of veg, peppers, etc so any suggestions very welcome!0 -
I would pan fry them, add some white wine and cider vinegar if you have it, reduce and stir in cream and a teaspoon of powdered mustard. If they don't like mustard, tarragon is a good herb with pork.0
