Has anyone got the latest best offer on Freeview boxes?

We have a box, but as usual it just stops working. It cost me about £80 18months ago as it has Top Up TV.

Now I really want something that takes me over Xmas.
Also is a Digital Satellite Receiver the same as a freeview box?

Can't actually tell you anything about Freeview but I'm wondering if Freesat will outdate Freeview - if it is the way the BBC and ITV intend to go long term

I found a good selection of Freeview hardware at http://www.freetv-home.co.uk/.
  • Please don't do what I did!!! I went and bought a freeview box from ASDA (£15 by the way, scart not included for the Durabrand one in my local store in Belfast) which worked perfectly and then when I cancelled my Sky (in an attempt to tighten my belt a bit) I asked them what I should do about the Sky dish and the box, the woman told me that they are mine to keep and I can use them to access freeview. I've not tried it yet because I'd already hooked up the box I bought from ASDA but bit of a waste of £15!!

Actually you get Freesat From Sky. Which gives you 200+ TV channels and 80+ Radio channels, compared with Freeview's (around) 44 Tv channels and 24 radio
