I bought a freeview box on saturday for me dear mother for the smashing price of £24.97. Tesco. It doesnt have a top -up slot... but who cares when you have loadsa channels at that price! It was a Tesco Extra Store and it only had two left on the shelf. It wasnt fancy ... couldnt make toast or tea, but it does the job.

Anyone got a Mogen freeview receiver currently at Sainsbury's for £24.95? I can't find much info or reviews of this box apart from one who said they had a poor quality picture....
  • You can get a decent freeview box without the top-up thingy for
    £25 from Tesco and Asda.
We have had one for well over a year in kids room. All good so far.

I've just had the Richer Sounds VIP club email, giving details of their sale which starts on Boxing Day. They have a Phillips freeview box which is currently listed at 40 quid, but as from Boxing Day, for the first 1000 customers only, it's available for the princely sum of £9.99.

Check out this link, and see what you think. Please note, this one is not Top-up TV compatible.

Asda have a few different brands of freeview boxes at around £22 to £25. I bought a SIMZ box from them at £23 and it is fine. It is about the size of a hard backed novel.
  • Don’t know ifs its been mentioned, but aldi have a tevion freeview box on sale from today for £21.99. Ive brought one and it works well- with an indoor aerial!
