The fruit and veg down there is good value (well was the last time I went) but it weighs a ton and I can't carry it back to the office without knackering my arms! Not to mention being 32 weeks pregnant it's a fair jaunt for my weeble like body these days.
I wish I had a local farmers market and the like but they don't run anything like that by me unless is expensive deli stuff.
On the plus side I am growing my own lettuce and it's coming on a treat so far

Was shopping in Mr t's today and had a look at the reduced section. They had loads of tinned fruit (changing the packaging) reduced, so I grabbed a few tins, then as I was having a look at the tinned fruit on the normal shelves I realised that they were cheaper than the fruit in the old packaging, on the reduced shelves? Be warned......is this a new trick to get more money off us?? They also had butterscotch angel delight (discontinued) at 47p but all the other non-discontinued flavours were 38p!!!0

I buy Tesco Value strawberry whip at 3p per packet, my kids love it and it taste similiar to Angel delight.
You should try shopping online and get the discount codes, I use them every week and this week I have £12 off my shopping from Tesco. (they are available on this website). I don't know if it helps anyone but The Sun are printing vouchers for £5 off a £30 spend at Mr M's.
Might help someone who is only local to a Mr M's.
I am hoping to go and try and buy just BOGOF's and then get the £5 off - should get about £60 off food for £25. Hoping to meal plan and freeze a lot.
The vouchers are out all this week in the sun and each voucher is for a differant week.

Grr, I am with you about the prices. Supermarkets must be laughing at us. 3 years ago my OH and I managed on less than 13k PA no problem, now we're struggling on 20K. I often don't eat before teatime because we can't afford it!Taking baby-steps :beer:0

I noticed Mr T have started introducing their "Bank Holiday savings" - it started on BBQ meats yesterday with an ad in the paper, so they are reducing their prices after having hiked up the prices for the last few weeks....
They must think we are born yesterday!
Anyone else noticed "bank holiday reductions?"Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Not sure if it's been mentioned but yesterday I noticed in my local Tesco they've started giving you a stamp every time you spend £20 or more, when you've got 7 stamps you get a £10 gift card. Nice idea but I'd rather they just reduced the prices of the food!Dum Spiro Spero0
