Do quality applicances help sell a kictchen?

I think that any brand of appliance would be fine as long as it's CLEAN - a dirty kitchen and bathroom would put me off a property completely.
If people wanting to sell their home can't be bothered to keep the house clean for viewings, it smacks of having neglected everything else."There is a light that never goes out"0 -

1) If you get integrated appliances it won't be obvious what brand they are anyway.
2) Don't get integrated appliances as they are WAY more expensive to buy/repair/replace.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -

Interesting question and I think its down to the individual. I'd be delighted if I found SMEG appliances such as the dishwasher *sigh* were included, ditto an AGA or even a Dyson washing machine but I doubt they'd make me buy the place.
Altho a SMEG fridge does give a good impression as far as I'm concerned!0 -
Sorry incase there's not an abundance of mind readers here tonight, when I said the SMEG fridge would give a good impression, I meant in general ie it would add to the quality of everything around it even if they were more standard items. This would stand even the if the fridge wansn't included in the sale.0

Cost a bit more than the Smeg!
While I'd expect the lifespan to be not as great, I'd want to trade it in, I do think it will provide me with a better service than your choice.

if its any help - gotta a friend in the repair trade & when my hotpoint washing machine went he said it wasn't worth repairing - I had it 26 months - apparantly it was a known fault in the trade with the model I bought - he advised me to go for a decent brand i.e. Zanussi, but buy there basic model as the more bells & whistles it has the more can & will go wrong & be dearer to repair - 3 yrs down the line & not a prob with my zanussi - wouldn't touch Hotpoint with a barge pole0

We're talking about what looks good here, not what works! :rotfl:

The op mentioned better quality goods like zanussi in her original post as opposed to cheaper brands0
