.....just wanted to update on my local property bee results.
Since April approx 60-70% of properties I have been tracking (of about 400) have been reduced between 2-10% ...with a couple of major 20% reductions in there.
EA's must be getting bored as one particular one has spent all today typing in the house numbers of each of their properties on rightmove!!
Just thought I'd keep you updatedIllegitimi non carborundum.0 -
I know a couple of estate agent and they are very irritated by the current situation - no wonder as their bonus's are going down the pan. My heart bleeds.0

Property Bee is really useful. We were looking to buy but weren't sure whether to wait. A lot of properties have dropped their prices in our area (not by huge amounts only about £5k off a 2 bed semi).
We are now buying a house we looked at in about January. 2 bed semi (repossession) was originally £142k then dropped to £139 then again to £129! We put in offer of £122 500 and had it accepted.
Was a repo that had been on market since October and they never put it to auction which is a really long time for them to wait.0 -
Here's a strange one:
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-18482194.rsp?pa_n=9&tr_t=buy
A 3-bed flat in Newcastle for £90,000; no takers as yet.
Now property bee shows that the EA has updated the listing with the following text:NETHOUSEPRICE COMPARABLE SHOWS NO. 77 SOLD IN APRIL 2008 FOR £120,000.
It just made me laughpoppy100 -
And what is this monkey business?poppy100

every change like that gets it sent out in the details of 'new listings' to people who have the search results emailed to themIt's a health benefit ...0

Has anyone noticed some EA's are hiding price drops by changing the price to 'POA'?
:rolleyes:0 -
A local EA is advertising a house as "reduced to £99,999 for quick sale" on their website.
I have been tracking property bee for months. This property is a new instruction, there has been no reduction.
Trading Standards would have a fit if Tesco did this kind of thing I'm sure, how can slimy EAs get away with it?

it may have previously been on with another agent at a different price
but probably notIt's a health benefit ...0 -

It's a street I'm very interested in, and have been tracking for a long time. Unless the property was initially on for £200k+ (I very much doubt it!), which is where I cut off my searches, then they're simply lying.0
