Whilst Propertybee doesn't tell you what houses are selling for, it does give a good idea of what is happening. If after 6 months every house has been reduced by 20% then you can be confident that prices are on a downward trend. Conversely, if 1 in 20 houses drop by 100% then they might just have been massively overpriced to start with.Happy chappy0

I live in North Kent and I loaded propertybee a while back , here are my results for my town
There are 193 reduced properties out of 692 properties
28% of properties reduced!!!!!
Interstingly when I first did this experiment on the 26.3.08 there were 335 properties for sale???
I also follow Brighton but ONLY do properties under 200k (otherwise it would take ages)
A massive 280 reductions out of 1052
27% reductions!!!!!!
When I first did this there were only 838 properties0 -
here's a little micro analysis of one of the areas I'm looking at
sticking to properties under 125k, no new builds, no shared ownership, duplicate properties (with multiple estate agents) removed
since 23rd Jan 08
299 properties on market as of today
28 STC (9.36% of market)
96 reductions (32.11% of market)
118 (39.46%) properties were already on the market on the date I started tracking so have been on the market for at LEAST 112 daysIt's a health benefit ...0 -
