Hi, this is my first post on here. I have been lurking for a while and thought I would like to join in. I have been reading all about slow cookers which has inspired me to use mine more, today is the second day in the row that I have used it.

Housework done, DW and WM been on and emptied.

    I have three children DS (21) DD (18) DD(16).

Hugs to all those that need them.

Hi - after doing a great message yesterday which got lost inthe ether, I was peeved so said s*d it, so belated birthday wishes Kyle.

Birthday wishes Stefejb & Mr CM

((((hugs)))Annieb, Smoky, Pen-Pin, Jayward, Anniestar, Mrs_Mix and all others not up to par.

Sorry to hear work is carp at the moment Pen-Pen - did you get anywhere looking further afield?

Just had a walk around Leiden in lovely sunshine, come back and it has broken it duck and had a small shower of rain, stopped now but still only sat in a t-shirt inthe 'van. Yesterday this time was sunbathing. Won't be long now before this is over, and we will be back inthe UK though out of contact for over a week, so less waffle from me.

    Take care

    Afternoon everyone,

Welcome Krispy444 and Happy Birthdays to Mr Churchmouse.

Well the weather turned overcast and drizzly about an hour after i`d posted how nice it was (did you cycle or not PenPen?) but now it`s lovely warm and sunny, i`ve just been hanging the washing out in the garden and it`s like a summers day.
I`d like to have an hour in the garden but i`m shattered so i`ll have an hour on the sofa instead.

Congrats on getting the job Mr Kyle it`s great when something nice happens unexpectedly.

Off to try and grab an hour now before grafting in the kitchen later when Mr Sunnyday arrives home.
    Have a lovely afternoon all.

Hope your dog is ok Redruby

    Welcome to Krispy

    Congtras to Mr Kyle

Had a good time at tai chi today but came out with my headache much worse (think must be the concentration) so havnt done much else. Have booked myself a Hopi Ear Candle session next week in case the headaches I have been having are linked to Sinus' (sp?). Havnt tried it before but now cant wait. Been feeling rough over the last couple of weeks so am going to try and sort myself out.

Have had to change dinner tonight when I discovered I do not have a chicken so its pork chops for oh and myself and pasta for the kids.

Am not going to do much else today so am going to have a lovely surf and a look at my favourite blogs.

    Have a lovely evening.

Now i'm at home on the lappy, with DD on the desktop looking for jobs:rolleyes:

HI - welcome to Krispy - hope you like it here! Well, I know you will!

REDRUBY - your poor little dog. I hope the vet can find out what's wrong with her.

The weather is brilliant now, after a rotten start early this morning. This is what I call Spring, this is! Hope everyone else is getting it, too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEF, MR CM, congrats to Mr Kyle, fingers crossed for Cat, welcome Krispy.
I didn't get away from work till 4:15 instead of 3:30, if it carries on like this I'll have friday afternoon off.
I have some sewing to do this evening & then will look for some wool to do baby hats with.
Katy's taken up yoga to try & de-stress, unfortunately she bought videos instead of DVD's so is using my living room at midnight every night, I still can't work out how she manages to make so much noise doing it.
    Have a good evening
    Hugs Hester

    Afternoon everyone

Happy Birthday to Stefejb & Mr Churchmouse, and to Kyle for yesterday and congrats to Mr Kyle

After a grey and damp start it has been lovely here, I even sat outside with a cup of coffee, but all that did was remind me we need to repaint the garden furniture.

Had two slow cookers going today, one with lamb mince for shepherds pies and one with bolognaise, have now got loads to put in the freezer, just hope I can find room!

Been down town, library and wilkos.

Got a phone call this afternoon to tell me I have the job I went for on Monday, start next Wednesday, not done anything like this before, have nearly always worked in offices but I wanted a change, and a change is what I am going to be getting. It was funny after the interview, standing at the bus stop one young lad asked me what a room attendant did, 'scrub the loo and make beds' I told him, he turned a bit pale, I really don't know what he thought he would be doing :rotfl:

:bdaycake: Happy birthday to all those celebrating today and yesterday. :bdaycake:

I left school early today as I just needed to get out! My eyes were going a bit square having stared at the computer all afternoon, doing planning. I'm still not completely finished, but I was beginning to go stir crazy - and I find that I'm more inspired when I'm at home!

I caved into temptation and we've got a pizza with some salad for supper. I was trying to find a red chilli in Sainsburys this evening (to make an arribiata sauce), but couldn't find one anywhere. That's where the pizza came in.

Anyway, the marking is staring at me in the face so I'd better go and deal with it.
