Penny. I missed your birthday cake to Taplord Junior. :rolleyes: I only have one thing to say.......
School board meeting didn't go ahead cos there were too few people. :rolleyes: Those of us who did go did manage to sit and chat for over an hour though.
Dinner was very nearly a disaster. I wanted to make salmon quiche so defrosted what I thought was shortcrust pastry. Turned out to be puff pastry so change of plan and Pink talked me through how to make a puff pastry plait while I prepped an invented salmon filling. :A Unfortunately I can't seem to make plaits as all the filling splodged out and then I realised I should have made it on the baking tray as when I moved it it ended up it bits.:rolleyes: Plan C was to make more pastry and just make a simple pie. :rolleyes: It was lovely but the kitchen was bombed.

House is now looking vaguely like normal. Buried the goldfish in the garden. DS got very upset and started asking me lots of questions about his brother dying and whether we buried him. Tried to answer the best I could but it's hard trying to find the right things to say that he will understand as he's not 7 yet.
Had a lovely vegetable curry and rice for tea. DS had fish fingers and veg. Strange child doesn't like chips!
Must go to bed, am on an early tomorrow. Have so much to do at work, need to assess my student tomorrow and give my colleague who just qualified some supervision. Oh and run a ward, with 16 patients. I guess there's no rest for the wicked. I must have been really bad in my past life, wish I could remember something about it!
Enough rambling! OH is on nights but I can feel a bout of insomnia coming on. Oh Well.
