OS Daily 23rd April

:hello: Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 23rd April. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning everyone
It`s a lovely morning here in Yorkshire today, it looks like it will be even nicer later.
Last night was the first night that i turned the central heating off before we went to bed and to be honest i thought that would jinx the weather today and i wouldn`t want to get out of bed but it`s lovely.

Lots of chores done this morning, up at 4am dw and wm have been emptied, the bm had finished too, the panny is fantastic at the 50% wholemeal loaves, these are my favourite at the moment.

The sc has a lovely liver & bacon casserole in and i`ve left it cooling with a note for DH to empty the bowl into other dishes and put it into the fridge for me to sort out later on when i get home.

Happy Birthday Stefejb :bdaycake: Have a lovely day

Offski to do some catching up in amongst my w**k now.

Have a fabulous day everyone.

Good Morning Sunnyday, Christabell and all to follow. Very little OS going on here yet - I need some of that coffee please to get going!
Term time well underway, so back to just getting through each day, with no real energy for anything else! Need to really have a quick tidy through though - can't believe how untidy the place gets with just the two of us here. Better get the WM on too, or no clean clothes later in the week.
Annieb - thoughts and prayers for your family today. ((HUGS)) fpr all who need one too.

Morning all and happy St George's Day! It's raining outside which, after yesterday's perfect spring weather, came as a bit of a shock.

SMOKY - (((Hugs))) to you and the LOs.

ANNIEB - will be thinking about you and your family today. (((Hugs))) to all of you.

MARTYN - Hope you have a good day.

(((Hugs))) to PENPIN and all the poorly ones.

    CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:

Well, I've been up since about 4.15 just mooching about on here. DH doesn't have to be at work until a bit later this morning so he's having a lie-in. I've just had a shower and cleaned the bathroom and I've put the ironing board up ready to attack the pile later. I've paperwork to do today and a trip to the Post Office and I also want to do a proper meal plan for the rest of the month and, maybe, for May as well, if I can think that far ahead.

Oh, well, he's had a long enough lie-in, I think!

    See you all later.

    Good Morning All

Misty start here so hopefully it means it will be lovely later.

Have woken with a slight headache so if that doesnt go in a few minutes will have to take some tablets.

Have tai chi this morning, housework, some washing and some paperwork to do this afternoon. Will cook a chicken today, not sure what we will have with it.

Off now for a quick surf.

    morning all,

Horrible day here, heating has gone back on here too  its pouring with rain, so no washing out today, good job really as I am off to work. DD who went back to school monday, is off today for teacher training, and tomorrow for NUT strike, so she is off to her nans.

Confession time, last night was so beautiful, that we did not have the HM pie with vegetable cheese, we got fish and chips from the chippie, and went and sat down the beach watching the tide go out and the cormarants fishing in the sunset, it was beautiful and so warm, contrast to today, so we have the pie for tonight which seems more fitting cos its freezing  .

ABL good luck for today hope you can find the strength to get through it hugs xx

    Smokey thinking of you xx

Pen Pin, hugs to you xx

    Martyn, where are you xx

    Happy birthday Stefjb  :T

    Happy St Georges day xx

    Morning all
Hugs to AnnieB today, when hubby lost one of his twins over 25 years ago he carried the coffin, he still cries when he talks about it.
Very damp & miserable here, it's due to brighten up around 2ish.
Off to work as soon as Katy gets dressed, it will be busy today as we have a couple of school trips on, tomorrow we have 19 teachers on strike, 2 on longterm sick & 5 on a course, but then we only have 60% of the kids in.
We have a member of the admin team whose been out for 3 months now after a car accident, they were due back after Easter, but still no sign of their return, I wouldn't expect anyone to return to work until they are ready, but I can't see why we couldn't get a temp in as it's putting a lot of strain on everyone else, so much so that 3 other team members are looking for new jobs.
    Hugs to those in need.
    have a good day

I'm pleased about that - the forecast wasn't so good, so I'll be able to cycle to w*** again :j That's my last day this week, so as of 5pm it's the weekend :T Which bit of Yorkshire are you, SunnyDay

AnnieB - thinking of you today :grouphug:
Stefejb - Happy Birthday  :bdaycake:

Spaghetti and sauce for tea, with the rest of the crumble. If I have time I'll do some baking, otherwise it'll be tomorrow.

    Happy St George's day
