Well, good morning folks...
What a miserable day it is outside..wet, cold and not at all inspiring...yesterday's trip to Lancaster was fun but surprisingly tiring...small bit of walking and some sunshine (and the early studying!) really did for me.
Hens have some new feed though and I tackled a whole load of ivy that was on the wall near them so there's loads of homeless bugs and beasties for them to have a go at.
We've a Rayburn to cook on so we're pondering slow-cooker type meals for the family - especially with the cost of some of the staple items of the weekly shop going up. The reaction to lentils and pulses in general has always been muted with the girls ( apart from Katie when she was tiny and loved Tarka Dall from the Indian takeaway) but they have to change...the recipe ideas on here are great!
Right must go and get on...best wishes everyone and my thoughts and hugs to those who need them. For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070 -

Morning all. Almost my favourite sort of day today (no obligations!).....the only obligation is to collect ds from school at 5pm and take him to drum lesson at 7pm.
Got to try and avoid doing too much today, still not fully strong after being poorly, did go back to work yesterday, but all the moving around made me cough,
Not easy to avoid doing too much. Errands to run. I'm torn between replacing every thing I've run out of food wise or going for as little spend as possible. Either way I have to get some fruit/salad/veg today. Matter has become somewhat urgent.
In addition to errands and food shop there is a lot to do in the house. Haven't vacced thru since before I was ill and it sure needs a mop as well. Chorus sewing to finish, meal to prep and these are just the urgent things. Also got to look for feathers as dd is trying to put together a costume for cowboys and indians party at the weekend. She's back at school."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
