Some annoying person left gum on a chair at DH's work. Needless to say, DH sat on the chair later during the shift, and got gum on his trousers. I am loathe to just toss it in the washer without checking to see if there is anything I need to do to get the gum out first - or will it come out easily in the wash??

  • Help!
If anyone is going to know the answer I know I'll find you on here!

My daughter has just come home from school with a piece of chewing gum stuck to the back of her blazer - smack bang in the middle!

My instinct is to shove it in the freezer and try to scrape it off tomorrow morning, but then the blazer will be all soggy and frozen and she will not be able to wear it for school.

    Any ideas?

Instead of putting the blazer in the freezer, why not try putting some ice cubes in a polybag & put on top of the chewing gum - let it harden and scrape off - that might work.
