oh i am on a roll tonight ..i really am ..i have decided i have to celebrate this or i am gonna cry ...as i said earlier we are off to the white scar caves tomorrow...now both hubby and i are driving so with the way the car is i just thought i need breakdown cover (remember how lucky i have been lately...aint taking no risks)...looked at martins advice but i dont know the companies etc so i went via quidco and got it for £130 with £40 cash back ...was going to get it for £102 with 40 cash back but ofcourse it didnt take my card did it ..no that would be too easy to do so had to get it in hubby's name only i couldnt find his bank details so had to look for them too..now i drive 90% of the time so i needed cover as well so that was an added £28 wasnt it...but hey i might get £40 from quidco ...notice i say might as if you look at the stats on quidco they dont hold up to well for the R.A.C ..so an extra £130 to todays spend then ...i am going to my bed now before it goes up any more ...
  • Hi El..great recipes and i love the idea of eating a DT, gives new meaning to it ..

Ouch to the car costs El - they are bloody money pits aren't they? Hope you find a way to sort it. But so sorry about the camping - you guys deserve a break - it just isn't fair. I'll join you and hypno on that picnic - rack is pretty empty but I think there is a bottle lurking at the bottom for a special occasion!

Hope you have a fab day at the white scar caves! Everything crossed that the car behaves itself.

well today didnt turn out like expected at 1.30 am this morning i got a text from one of the girls saying she wasnt going her son had taken not well ...so it wouldve just been hubby, myself and a friend the other guy that was meant to come also pulled out (he's just moved back home and was up tp his eyes init)...hubby and i have done the caves twice now and we all plan on doing them together so we would have to go again so i phoned my friend (the one that was going) and we arranged not to go there but to go somewhere else but at 1.30 am we wernt up to thinking where ...she arrived today at 9 am and after a 10 min blether we decided to go to inchcolm abbey so off we went ..it's meant to cost £15 for the ferry and entrance but if your a historic Scotland member you get it for £10 she asked if we were members i said quickly "oh yes dontcha just know it" but in a nice way then i said "and anyway were scottish and historic and him there(pointing to hubby) is truly ancient" she just laughed at us and said on you go then well worth the reduction so we got £5 off each lol ...had a wonderful day the place was great the ferry ride lovely the company perfect ...we had a pub lunch after then a wee ice-cream before heading home

so all in all we have had a wonderful day not what we had planned (i was up till really late printing out directions etc) but it was good non the less and just what hubby and i were needing after the stressful day yesterday and the last few stressful weeks ...

and i am sunburnt ...yes Scotland does occasionally get sun
