Motorola V635 question
I've got the above phone and have downloaded an MP3 ringtone onto it
the tone has gone to the MP3 player and plays from there, but how do I use it as a ringtone?

In order to use it as a ringtone it must be stored on the phones memory and not the Transflash memory card. Simply move whatever song it is to the phone and then you should get the option to apply it as a ringtone next time you look. Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

Hi.
You go to Multimedia - sounds - scroll to the song you want to move - select the menu button in the middle - select Move - Phone then you should see it moving.
Hope that helps. Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

Thank you, not sure about Tainted Love mind you but it has to be better than what she had :rotfl:0 -
No problem only to pleased to help.
I have to agree the manuals do not help much.
A run down for anybody else with this issue.
The downloaded songs usually get saved on to the memory card and when you go to MULTIMEDIA - SOUNDS you cannot see it because that only shows the songs in the phone memory. You have to switch over to the Memory card to see the downloaded songs.
To do that you press the middle menu button when you are at the list of songs and select the switch storage device then select Memory instead of Phone.
You will then see the songs that are on the memory card. From there you select the song you want, select the middle menu button - MOVE - PHONE and then you should see the song moving.
Then when you have switched back to the phone memory you can select that song as the ringtone.
Its Long and sounds complicated but its not once you have done it.Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.
