Pink Fairy - is this the willow you have? Kilmarnock willow, (salix caprea)? If so, no problem. The weeping willow I was thinking of is a huge tree, and grows by river banks round here. Rather worrying in a small front garden.

The other salix should be okay in a pot I should think, as long as it gets enough water in the summer. No need to worry about skimmias. I don't think they have very extensive roots.

Serena - that looks like it! It's definitely not the sort that you get by rivers!:rotfl:The otehr is the one they call the flamingo tree and it does say "patio" on the label so I thought I'd put it in a decorative pot.

I'm glad about he skimmia. I think it will look nice by the front door. Thank you for the advice.

Welcome to the world princess xx:T

Not got time to catch up fully nowl so just quick flick to see how Johanne and Mudbath are.

My exhusband damaged my tendon in my right thumb 8 years ago i was being the cocky little sod, oh i am fine getting on and suffered for it and still do now due to not resting it. Do not do anything that makes you arm vibrate i mean strimming your garden too, drilling etc.... there is no mention or thought about platinum rabbit;) before anyone shoots me lol. (My Oh has just seen what i have wrote and was Lhao:rotfl: he has a mind thats should be in the gutter:D  ).
You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?

serena, I love your little willow in the picture. I have a willow grown from a cutting I took years ago and it is getting pretty big. Mine is not a weeping w. either. I found it close to a lake side but as we have a big garden I have never been too worried.
mudbath please have lots of rest. I didn't and am still suffering for my mistakes!

Evening all, just catching up with Friday Night Project with my all time favourite t.v. presenter Gok Wan.

Popped to the library to pick up a couple of books they had reserved for me, then I prepared the dinner before going early evening shopping with DH.

Did depress myself though with the shopping bill :( My poor Dh is not happy at the bill slowly creeping up to the £50.00 mark.. :(

So now going to watch the rest of FNP with Gok and then go to bed and read for an hour.

    Morning All

Not sure what's on the agenda for today but going to try and get a few jobs done now. I'm thinking I may sort out the toy box in the corner of the LR which is overflowing while the kids aren't about - well DS is asleep on the floor behind me! They hate me throwing things away - especially DD so I have to have a sort out when they can't see what I'm doing!

Mudbath - pleased the op went well - make sure you rest and have some quality time with your OH.

    Hugs to all

  • Congratulations Johanne on your new arrival :T :j  .

Good morning flyladies. Big hugs for everyone. Well, I haven't done [strike]any[/strike] much flying this week:rolleyes: but in my defence I have been busy catching up on college work, so i'm going to make up for the lack of flying by getting loads done over the weekend, so my plan of action is to work through each day on the list:eek: and get this dump in order for a change.

    Weekend to do list
    Breakfast, shower & dress.
Clean appartment from top to bottom.
    Organise college work.
    List more ebay stuff.
    Up date MSE signature.

I'm of to make a start on my list, I will up date my list later .
Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/140

    Good morning all

Well, I think Miss Pigpen would be pleased with me this morning. So far:

Dishwasher emptied, tumble dryer filled (coz it's a dreech start to the day) with last night's washing, washing machine just finishing, all kitchen worktops, doors, drawer fronts, kickboards, appliances and the utility room wiped down, including moving and cleaning small appliances. Kitchen window cleaned and one cupboard emptied and cleaned. Dogs, cats and fish fed too! I'm just having breakfast, then I'll wake DS coz he wants to come to town with me and I'll see what else I can do why he gets ready.

    See you later.
