Thanks for the information on the grocery challenge, i've always wanted to do it but never really understood it. Now I know why people have different aims. I'm going to definitely start it by adding up what we've spent so far this month. Next month will be less!!
OMG i'm so tired, lol, i've done four more boxes from the attic (don't worry DH got them down when he was here). It seems a never ending cycle of sorting and chucking. So far i've got three more bin bags of rubbish this week, four boxes for a car boot sale, two crates of paperwork to shred and half a box of stuff I want to keep. It really is incredible the junk I have kept though it's making it very easy to chuck stuff.
I showed some photos of me to my dd who didn't believe it was really me. It was in my band days when I was always in the paper for doing daft sponsored things like the time we went three legged on the train to London. I'm going to get all the newspaper cuttings and photos and sort an album. I won't start it until i've finished emptying the attic though.
Right, enough waffle. I'm going to add up what we've spent on groceries xx0 -
Sharon - you'll find a few of us on the Grocery Challenge - the May one will be starting shortly so come and join us!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

 I've just added up spends on food and it comes to £345 but then there's all the times we spent a tenner in the local shop or a tenner at the off licence. I think realistically we probably spend about £450 for a family of four....ridiculous. DH is home next month and he's good at meal plans so I'm going for £350 for May. I know i'm cutting it by quite a lot but £450 is MAD.
The saving will help if I can't work as much too xx0 -
Its all the little spends that add up mudbath, when you only go out for milk and bread and end up spending £20:mad:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
