Well done skintscotslass
Happy birthday pink
All the washing dry now and folded and put away. I've cut the back grass and swept up. Then I watched Time Team from last night while I cooled down, it's really warm out there.
Cup of tea time then get ready for work.0 -
Hi everyone, had an awful night and ended up sleeping on the sofa (didn't fall asleep until after 3am) . Hopefully tonight i'll be that tired i'll sleep anywhere. Total blocked up today my immune system is crap.
Well done SSL.
Big hugs to everyone who needs one.
Happy birthday pink.
Johanne not long to wait now.
Michelle not long for you too few weeks isn't it?Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Right.. I'm home.. finally!!!!!!!!!!
The games teacher has been dealt with .. apparently he didn't realise DS2 had no shoes or socks on when he sent him to run round the yard 3 times.. he is now aware of DS's problems.. so woe betide him if he tries me again!
Another teacher has been dealt with RE DS2's shoes.. she said he had to have lace ups like everyone else.. when he can't tie laces!!
The OT.. said DS2 hasn't got actual dyspraxia.. what he has is worse.. he has faulty wiring.. lol.. he has absolutely no left right coordination so like we are given instructions and copy.. he has to see then think about it.. then send the think to the various parts of his body then physically force his body to do the same.. whilst keeping his extra floppy limbs from being floppy and making the whole thing too big... He has been offered a place at the ASD youth club.. they teach them 'life skills' He has also been offered helpt o do the 3 things he feels will most improve his life.. he wants to learn to swim.. and he hasn't decided on the other 2 things yet.
They are looking at tools to improve his posture, his writing and some exercises to try to work with his motor skill development.. but she did say this is unlikely now.. he is too old and should have been seen a few years ago (insert scream of frustration) apparently by 12 the motor development is about complete and the rest is 'fine tuning'.. he hasn't got the development to start with...
Anyway.. we have more to write on his next DLA application and he has hopefully a start in the right direction as far as his life skills goes and hopefully if he chooses to go to the youth club he will meet other children like him and develop his social skills.. and his emotional skills.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I haven't long got home.
Had to come on internet to check my bank account.
So thought would also come here.
I will cook dinner & then clean the bathroom.
I also need to to HHI & mow the back garden.
I don't know how everyone fits in the housework!
Maybe if I didn't work, lol!!!

It would be easy to fit it all in, if we didn't all spend so long on here, seeing what each other has been up to and what we are all about to do!!!

Pigpen! I bet you want to throttle them! It would have been picked up years ago if they had listened, but oh no. I mean got to see it from their poin of view, it's not like you have spent each and every day with him more or less since birth. And how would you know what is 'usual' for a child having so little contact with children.... Hope he starts to make some progress finally. I wonder if a huge family holiday would make a difference to his life?0

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all you guys on this thread. I've been reading it (difficult to keep up with as it gets soooooooooooo long) for the last few days and you've motivated me to clean, clean, clean!
So today I have:
Dusted living room
Hoovered downstairs of house
Washed kitchen floor & laminate floor in hallway
Bleached & cleaned kitchen sink so it's sparkling!
Cleaned kitchen worktops - took everything off, washed all jars/pots/ornaments
Cleaned all cupboard fronts & plinths
Had a kitchen re-org of everything on worktops so anything I don't use lots is now in a cupboard and not on a surface taking up space
Done a 'mini' clean in bathrooms - didn't need any more
Done a week's worth of ironing
Done 3 loads of washing, dried on line, will put away tonight
Put away Tesco shopping after it was delivered
Kept 2 children entertained and fed/watered
I feel much better about the clean state of my kitchen! When things are in a muddle it messes with my head so thanks again for helping me to feel calm.
Tomorrow I plan to:
Take DS2 to docs appointment
Go shopping for some mugs and quick trip to Boots
Get home, clean inside of fridge (should have done this before having shopping delivered today as now have loads of food to take out in order to clean fridge - d'oh!)
Make lunch for me and DS1 &2
Take DS1 & 2 out for afternoon - walk, indoor playground...not sure yet:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0
