Worldwide hotel rooms for £1. Available 7pm Wed 23 April

Hi

I have just had a look at the website to see if I wanted to try and get one of these £1 rooms at 7pm tonight but there is a notice from the General manager saying that they sold out in 19 minutes and that the next £1 sale is in July?

The HRS press office has confirmed that there will be no additional charges. It said:

"There are no special charges in this promotion. It is just the usual terms & conditions. So in case of not turning up and not cancelling in good time in worst case the user has to pay the full price - 1₤ in this promotion."

I think you've somehow ended up looking at the Hoxton Hotels £1 room sale which was a week or two ago.

You can book to up to six rooms if you're fast enough. Every hotel offers different dates. Some hotels offer long open dates of two month but some hotels offer only single nights like 1st May, 7th May and 14th May, so it depends on the offer, if you are able to make your reservations in a row.

my last three attempts to get a Hoxton £1 room were thwarted by their system being unable to cope with the massive numbers of punters all trying to get the same thing (I managed to get a £1 room on their very first promotion, but even then their system sent me a confirmation screen to say I'd booked a room, but it sent me no confirmation e-mail).

it will be very interesting to see how the HRS system copes tonight.

and yes, we are currently one hour behind CEST folks, so 7 p.m. is when the fun starts!

Sorry if I sound daft, but do you just key in the details you want, do you have to know the hotel you want etc? or just put the city?then press submit at 7pm? Thanks!
