I've done a better job of cutting my daughter's hair myself!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Hi all...
Just caught up with this thread as Sundays are usually church in the morning. This was was no exception, though DD1 (who is an alter server so right in public view) chooses this morning to have one of her fainting spells - up on the altar. Poor thing....she looked so white/grey....and had this look of horror on her face but could not respond to anyone. It was like she was in a trance? Awful...

Anyway...glad everyone seems ok today. I'm going to look for the bicycle pump shortly so I can cycle instead of walking to work until Wed (when OH gets paid and I can put petrol in my car).

    OMG ~ is she ok?

    Hey all!
Back from the cinema-doozy cow I am, I forgot my voucher for a free entry so that cost me £16! Then the kids HAD to have popcorn etc so another tenner down the tubes-If I had been organised I could have brought some stuff from home but we were rushed because I was cutting Freya's hair! I'm no hairdresser but I must say it looks very nice-I cut her fringe dead short and then layered it all in the back and around her face and since it's a bit wavy, it looks lovely-she's growing up so fast-bless

The movie was very funny 'Horton hears a who' I think I laughed more than the kids, as per usual...I was quite good-I had a diet coke (and some popcorn) so no more syns for me for the rest of the week *sigh*

Thanks...she will be 17 next month. She has only done it once before when she was working in the bakery during school hols. She was giving some guy his change when....boom... Unfortunately she hit her head on the counter as she went down so bit of a headache.

Took her for blood tests and she did have some abnormal reading and really should have booked her in for a follow up. Will do so tomorrow.

It was the look of horror on her face this morning that scared me tho. Like she had seen a ghost. She said afterwards that she had felt ill just before it happened but thought she would be ok after a drink of water. She remembered me stroking her face afterwards, but said she just couldn't respond or move. It was really frightening.

She eats well and has a good breakfast every morning so will get her checked over again asap.

Thanks for all your good wishes.

TBH Elantan I don't know. It's their week with their dad this week. I will phone her in a while to make sure she's ok but when I dropped her home I told her to have a sleep (as she wanted to go to bed). She didn't hit her head this time so I'm not worried about concussion or anything. Hopefully this next blood test will show if anything's actually wrong, or if it's just a phase. I don't know if it's her 'ladies time' at the moment either (I'm not usually one for euphamisms.....just don't want to offend anyone) which might explain things.

This is when it's awkward having shared custody as I know she wanted me to be there this morning.

How old are your kids Suzy?
May I be so bold as to ask how you get on with shared custody?
