Royal Bank of Scotland in Trouble?

I see BBC news and several papers say that the RBS is trying to find £12 billion to fix it's financial solution!?!is the RBS in trouble? On the BBC it says:

"Analysts stressed that this was not something that should worry people with accounts at any RBS banks."

I don't know about you but I never trust anything these "Analyists" say, not sure if its an other Northen Rock type situation brewing but I'm taking my savings out today! better safe than sorry! :-)

My friend took his out yesterday ;)
  • What really? Thats it, I'm going emptying my account. I'm not loosing out the small amount of cash I have to cover those sharholders who have grabbed and are now loosing out! Off to the bank!
  • If people panic, the whole Northern Rock thing will happen again, the media are a lot to blame for this.
  • This is true, but I can't control the media. I'm not going to be the only one to sit back and say oh it will be ok then find my dosh gone!

Is it the media or is the the attitude of the banks itself, lets face truth, Gordon Brown has a meeting with the top Bankers then injected 15 billion into their system,he then tells the public this is to ease the pressure for everyone, he then says that the Banks showed also tow the line regarding the interest rate cuts, the very next day HBOS raises their rates by 0.5% on two of their mortgage deals.

I'm glad the media to make us aware of the facts, otherwise we could have been in a lot more trouble

  • Well I have just emptied my RBS savings account and I wasn't the only one! The line wasn't that big. Yet! It was funny to here people saying, "... no you're ok love, just give me the cash and shut it!"
Who knows, I will probably end up putting it back in on monday after its all died down but at least I beat the mob! :-)

Well you would think that the Gov / taxpayer would have to step in a la NR. They set a dangerous president with that fiasco IMHO.
