can anyone recommend a sat nav with european maps included and pref speed cameras aswell?

and does anyone know if TomTom ONE V3 GPS Satellite Navigation System, Western Europe Maps you have to pay a subscription to update?

i bought a garmin nuvi 250 in august this year, it is absolutly great. easy to use, full western europe maps. it was fabulous in france and took us on some raods that we would not have went on using a regular map so letting us see some of the real france not just motorways.
i would highly recommend it and i think it has come down in price since then.

thanks were any updates free or did you have to pay a subscription fee? and did it have a speed camera database?

it certainly has all of the british speed camera's in it and beeps when you approach them. only did it on french motorways so not sure about all camera's abroad. you do get one update but i have not done this as i am waiting for the new version of mapping to come out. then will register it and recieve the update. hope this helps.

just one update, seems a bit stingy but considering the tomtom is £70ish more! may be worth it if you have to pay for updates

i ordered it from amazon on wednesday morning
it arrived thursday morning free delivery £114.90.:D

i did ask halfords to price match they said NO

If you get caught with a Speed/Safety Camera Warning Device in your car in France, you will face a heavy fine (much more than the speeding one). I'm not sure about other countries, but think Germany is the same. You can get much better and at a lower cost, UK safety camera updates from :
