    Yesterdays food:

    2 x alpen lights (B) and a banana

    Apple and banana

1 hard boiled egg, packet tesco cheese curls (3.5 syns) and 2 alpen lights (B)

    Apple

Then we ended up in Brewers Fare, as it was my birthday, and I tried to be good, lord help me I did, but there was very little SW friendly, and what there was they either wouldnt do, or didnt have  I opted for a jacket spud with cheese and beans, but apparently the snack menu wasnt being served from, so then I opted for the steak, didnt have any :mad: so I went back to my table to choose. The tomato pasta thing was out, didnt have any grrrrrr. So at that point I took it as a sign and opted for the smothered chicken :o So I had:

Half a chicken breast, with bacon and cheese (very little so am putting that down to an A choice!), large salad, chips :o and bbq sauce, which was too rich so didnt eat much of it. Im really cross that they didnt have, or wouldnt serve, what I wanted so I am going to email and moan, got a few other things to moan about too lol.

Hmmm line drawn under, think we shall call it a red day
that is terrible, i hope you are putting a full complaint in to them, we did once as nearly evrything i wanted was not available and the m,eal i did eventually get was ovr cooked as though it had sat waiting for someone to order it, we got the cost of our full family meal + 25% in vouchers in the post, mind you by this time i didnt want to go back, but we did eventually and it couldnt have been more different. Give it a go you have nothing to lose (ha "lose" on this forum) im funny LOL.

does anyone know if Oatibix (ie 2 of them - like Weetabix) count as a b choice? They weren't around when my 2004 SW book was printed!

EDIT: just found the answer to my own question - this is an excellent list of up to date cereal HEBs.

I'm ok with using 3 syns to have 2 oatibix as a B choice - as I'm still in that 'first flush' of enthusiasm I'm only having around 4 or 5 syns a day. Give it a month or so though and I'll be going 'a HEB AND 3 syns' but they'll be eaten by then ;)

I'm trying to stick to ready weighed out breakfast cereals - weetabix, oatibix, Quaker Oatso Simple etc so I know I'm having exactly what I'm allowed.

My 49p Woolworths kitchen scales aren't the force they used to be (or possibly ever were!!!) when it comes to weighing small amounts.

BB, when weighing things like that I find something like a yogurt pot that holds just the right amount and then use that each time, easy measurement:j
