Spud - if there is any scan bran at tonights meeting I will get you some and send you some over. I will let you know tonight and if I get some I will PM you. I will also try to make the scan bran cake (well DD did want a cake for her birthday!:rotfl: ).
I don't hold out much hope for losing weight at tonights meeting as I have weighed myself this morning and I am the same as last week. I am trying not to be too disappointed. I haven't followed the SW philosophy to the letter and perhaps I ought to try a bit harder this week. I think you need to be organised and its hard when you work full time are essentially a single parent for 80% of the week and no-one eats what you want to eat.
I would have thought that cutting down the drinking, eating about 90% less chocolate and exercising regularly would have had SOME effect! Oh well, I guess it took about 13 years to put on the extra 30lbs I really shouldn't expect to lose it overnight. I shall go for the slow but final weight loss rather than the quick fix!
I am full of excuses as to why I can't stick to a diet!
Thanks Sammy. Dont go to any trouble for the scan bran hun. I can always nip into town and try Holland and Barrett. I'm surprised there isnt an alternative
Good luck for tonight. Your situation sounds very much like mine. 5 days out of 7, there's just me andd the kids to feed coz DH works permanent nights. I have to say, I'm horrible, if I'm on a diet, we're all on a diet. DS has lost 5lbs so far
I've got 5 weeks off work now, so I'm hoping to be better prepared when it comes to meals, although last night I had SW chips and spicy baked beans, which was rather yummy. Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

And as I am trying to do it properly can anyone tell me how many syns are in an Asda Chorizo and Italian sundried tomato sauce. I can't get on the SW website as I don't know the password this week.
It is a 300g pack - for every 100g there is 70kcal, 4.1g protein, carbs 4.5g Fat 4.0g of which saturates 0.9g, fibre 0.8g
If anyone could let me know it might stop me committing a SYN!
PS On a green day -planning on having the sauce with spaghetti!

Spud to be fair, I don't really cook for anyone else but me. I told the kids eat what I have or make your own, but they are always asking me what they can have so I find I am constantly thinking about food. If it was just me I think I would be okay. DD1 would do the shopping for me on Mondays if I made her a list but I am so stupid I haven't really thought about it and end up just shoving stuff on a list and she fills in the gaps LOL with carp!
When OH comes home at the weekend the first thing he says is lets go for a meal and I really struggle when eating out. I have been making healthier choices but still having things I 'shouldn't have'. I guess its a step in the right direction. I am not swinging from starving to stuffed anymore.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Sounds bloomin gorgeous though, doesnt it
Doesn't it just, and on a green day I can have as much pasta with it as I want. You can have up to 15 syns a day so as long as I don't have too many more today I will be okay. And i think I will throw some mushrooms in with it too.
BUT WHAT TO HAVE FOR LUNCH!!!!
I know! Baked potato, 42g half fat cheese and baked beans.
Woo hoo! Thats me sorted!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I dont think I could eat 300g over pasta, I would have to have it for lunch and dinner!
Im undecided on lunch, but having chicken for tea, maybe stuffed or a kiev and with a salad. Might have bacon and eggs for lunch?? Got tons of fruit to use up so I hope to get a decent amount of s and ss in today0 -
Think I will have an omlette for lunch. Grrr, I'm pretty sure I wont have lost anything this week, because I'm really struggling to stick to it. But as long as I'm not putting loads back on, I suppose that's the main thing.
I could do with being a few pounds lighter for my holiday though - I know I would feel better if I did. I've got 3 weeks to go, so I could probably lose half a stone if I really went for it.
Might set myself a mini challenge to do that."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I BOUGHT SCAN BRAN  Crikey, not only did I find a shelf full in holland & barrett, but I actually bought some. OH said he is staying well away from me for the next week! Errrr TMI but I do suffer in the tummy dept, so please make sure I drink enough, or I am likely to suffer ALOT :eek::eek:0
