Got back from class at 8.40 and by 9 o'clock had demolished the chocolate mousse from yesterdays party  It was only when I started feeling sick I realised what I'd done......
I was sssoooooo good all week, had a party yesterday where I had loads of foliage, 1 wholemeal roll with cheese and a small brownie (no choccie mousse) and I only lost 1/2 lb again
So now I'm thoroughly miserable and feel like making my way through the cathedral city sat in the fridgeSo I'm going to post and run before I compound the idiocy even further.
Hope everyone else is doing better than me this week. I'm going to give myself a good talking to tomorrow, draw a line under today and stick to the plan. I know it works so why have I bu****ed it up so spectacularly tonight
Ok enough moaning I'll be fine after a nights sleep.
Almost forgot - hope you had a good birthday Keren:xmastree:Merry Christmas0 -
Good morning everyone,
well its weigh in for me again tonight, ive been really good all week apart from some extra syns on saturday to allow for the chinese 2.5 :A i shared with my sister and the 3 glasses of wine:D . my problem will be not eating enough, i have had a few days when i havnt touched a HEB and nowhere near as much free food as im used to, so i hope it doesnt go against me.
i really must start posting my days intake just to keep me right:rolleyes: .
well done to those who have lost even just a little it all mounts up, and to those who havnt draw a line under it and start again, you will get there.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -
I think I had cracked why I keep binging...
I don't think I am eating enough!! So I am going to have a green day today and see what happens, oh and as few syns as possible to make up for being so bad!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

think of your syns allowance as a straight line, if you have the correct amount of syns then your line stays at a good level and your metabolism works continuously, if you have less syns then your line drops and your metabolism slows down hence weight gain. (i hope this makes sense it was much easier to take in on a diagram). she also explained flexi syns in a similar way.
once again you have the straight line, if you save your syns then your line goes down, then you have a blow out and your line shoots up. the following day your line drops again to its lowest level, whereas if you eat your syns normally your line stays level and when you have your extra syns it only goes up a little then the next day it drops back to being level.
thats the philosophy behind flexi syns.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -

I would say that EVERYONE I know thats done SW has had a "post weigh in treat" where they go home and have a treat right after class, so please dont beat yourself up over eating one mousse!
If you are finding your weight loss is slow then how about keeping a food diary this week and go over it with your consultant next week, there may be something which you are missing. If you feel that some days you are feeling out of control then grab an SAS log and be honest on it, only you see it. At the end of the day a half off is great, its going in the right direction0 -

Thank you!
I will bare that in mind and try to stick to just 10 syns for the next 2 days.
I have had beans on toast for breakfast. And I have a Banana, 2 apples and a yogurt on me, I'm going to have couscous for lunch and then make carbonara for dinner
- Spag, HE B bacon, onion mixed together with herbs and egg. Which makes it free
I will probably use my syns on an aplen bar and a couple of the sweets a colleague has brought back from Italy.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Lucy, have you thought about picking up an SAS log in group this week? I always poo poo'd them but when I had a bad week I kept one and it really opened my eyes to what I was doing. Only you get to see it, so you can be totally honest with yourself, may be all you need to re-focus?0

I think I have a couple at home somewhere, but I think it will be a good idea. Last time I only did them for a few days as I had worked out where is was all going wrong.
Problem is I know how the plan works, but think I can take short cuts, which don't work.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
I totally understand that, it is far too easy take shortcuts. I find reading the book again, keeping an SAS and recording all food works really well. Our group are doing a mini challenge, They are not having any syns until they have eaten at least the 5 a day fruit and veg - there have been some brilliant losses so far. I really must crack on with that but wanted to get back into it and focussed again before I start it.0
