Cheap PAYG for oldie - help?
Need a PAYG, most of my family/friends are on O2, and I am getting very confused!
I only need basic things like being able to make a few calls, and very occasional text messages - WAP EMS ,cameras etc don't interest me. Main use is for urgent contacts if needed. I have an O2 sim card in my old (Very old!!) Nokia phone.
I can find a phone like a Nokia 1100 for about £45 (sim free) or could buy it for £30 at Tesco - but would then need it unlocked I presume? Would this be the best way to go?
Any advice gratefully received.

Also, I would add that if your family are mostly on o2 it would be a good idea for you to go on o2, as it costs more to calls phones on other networks usually, so you and your family would save money.0

The current O2 PAYG offer is an absolute steal. Top up £10 a month and you get 300 texts free, plus it will work out cheaper for you if you stick with O2. Your old phone should be fine. Upgrading phones (unless you know someone who wants to give you theirs!) is an expensive business. Hope this helps.0
