If Mr Boots does read this then he is well aware (and has been for months) that the system is not glitch proof. A big company like Boots could easily fix it -- ask for proof and registration in store for pc and over 60 and fix the till glitches. But they choose not to and are happy to take the extra money we spend.

This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

Everyone should take note of this and not use the same store all the time especially if you are buying baby stuff for points and never appear with a baby

Also if it's just a small voucher that hasn't gone on - leave it. I've a feeling a couple of girls that serve me don't like me from the sale/reduced stuff I beat them to a couple of times now so I'll be squeaky clean with them from now on - trust those instincts guys - try not to get on the wrong side of those who can and will report misuse of vouchers

I would say that the only way any of us could be guaranteed to avoid the same sort of situation is to only use the vouchers etc that we're actually 100% entitled to. By which I mean ACM coupons raised on our personal card only, magazine coupons, mailings sent directly to us and for clubs we're genuinely entitled to belong to and MOCs from other offers.

It could be argued that getting coupons from friends, relatives, fellow forum members, Ebay and off the top of the ACM when other folk have dumped them there and then using these coupons to obtain money off or extra points is a contravention of the T&Cs. Now I'm not saying this from any great moral high ground...I've used at least one dodgy coupon in my time. But I'm thinking...here on this forum every day someone posts a huge shopping list followed by a list of many, many coupons that they've used against it. I'm not saying that this is wrong in itself if of course these are your own personal coupons...but I suspect that when there's multiple coupons from various mailings involved then quite possibly some of them came from coupon swaps, for example. After all people swap coupons here all the time. But I bet you this contravenes the T&Cs.

Remember, the Boots Point scheme is a perk, not an entitlement. As posted in the T&Cs Boots can pull the rug on your AC any time they suspect you of doing anything not quite right with your card. And they read this thread too. They won't know the exact individuals, of course, but they can see what's happening because we've all obligingly written it out here for them. It's very possible that they've finally got sick of reading of all the extra babies and extra voucher use and decided to monitor card use a bit more closely.

So yes, go for the glitches and go for handing over as many vouchers as you've been given by Boots to use and see how many the tills will take. . Why not? As folk here quite rightly say, they give us this stuff to entice us in to spend. It certainly works on me! But as for anything else...be careful. If there's a clampdown on fraudulant AC card use about to happen, as with the Tesco ClubCard, don't get caught up in it.

Bottom line? The only way to be 100% safe is to toe the Boots line and keep on the right side of the T&C. Imagine that there's a member of the Boots fraud team watching your every move round the shop and at the tills on the CCTV...and who's to say there isn't? If you'd be happy to let them scrutinise your transaction then you're obviously fine. Even if you get a polite "no" from the SA's at some coupon combos then that's fine too. But to steer clear of the stuff you know contravenes the T&Cs is the only way to be safe.
