rubylou88 - since the OP has now edited her original post to remove any potentially offending material perhaps you could do the same? particularly the quotes.

Come on girls this is normally a friendly thread - let's not get nasty and to quote Martin himself "be nice to all moneysavers".

Has anyone seen gorgeous bags anywhere around West Brom, Walsall, Birmingham or Dudley areas please? I want one - now!! :o

Surely removing the 'potentially offending material 'as you call it, equates to sticking ones head in the sand. Or bolting the stable door after the horse has fled. If people have already read the post in question, erasure does not mean it did not happen. :silenced: :naughty: :silenced:

The point I think that passion was making was that it was posted in the first place. Should all those people who read it be brainwashed now? It will be on cached pages anyway, its in the public domain. Its not just a handful of people who saw it. Of all the people who post on here they represent only a tiny fraction of the people who actually read the Boots posts.

Saying 'come on girls this is normally a friendly thread 'sounds rather like we should just not have a brain or an opinion, if we do, we should just make sure we dont post it here, for fear of upsetting the applecart.

When Martin says be nice to moneysavers, I dont think he means the same as you IYSWIM.

    Hi

I've just come back from Maidenhead High Street Boots and need a rant !

I have 6 of the £2 off cosmetics till spits (that only are only valid until the 30th April ) and up until now have never seen any of the Bourjois sharpners, tweezers or nail varnish remover in the Maidenhead branch. So imagine my excitement when I saw all 3 products today on the Bourjois stand !!!!!

Bearly able to control myself I put 2 nail varnish remover, 2 sharpners and 4 tweezers in my basket (in case the sharpners didn't work, in which case I'd take 4 tweezers instead) and off I headed to the main tills, hoping to do 6 transactions (1 for each till spit). But the tills wouldn't accept the till spit on any of these products ! I could possibly understand the sharpners not going through (this thread warns that they do in some stores and not in others) but I thought the tweezers and nail varnish remover went through no problem. The SA said they weren't cosmetics and that why they weren't going through. So I left them all (very dissappointed). Has this happened to anyone else ?

On a plus note I did manage to get 4 photo frames at £1.25 each and on BOGOF, so 4 lovely frames from £2.50.

Oh and yes Maidenhead have the Gorgeous bags (downstairs by main tills), if that helps anyone.

Hi I only know of Valk_Scot getting the spit to work with the nail varnish remover. Not 100% sure but I do think she lives in Scotland.

Did the till bleep bollywood_rani? Not sure it helps, but the sharpeners and tweezers go through ok in all 4 local stores up here. Sometimes the SA's say no before they try the till, but most have let them go through.

Not many people have managed the nail varnish remover, as far as I'm aware.

Has the new Gorgeous bags in stock.....only arrived yesterday.

Anyone hoping to bump their spend to obtain the till spit by buying one of these.....Don't. It doesn't work. Presumably because they are also exempt from Adv card points, they don't count towards your till-spit-spend either.

Also....anyone else who shops ( ) there......is it me or has their range been reduced now they've had the *re-fit*?
The merchandising is dreadful too :o
