Does anyone know if 3 4 2 on No7 is still on instore I think Rubes said she saw them taking signs down last night but No7 SA advised me the other day that it was continuing and I can see it is still online....Anyone notice?

It's still 342 on No7 in my store...I looked for the signs today. The other big 342 skincare offer is finished though.
    Val.

still 342 in my store (greenock) too and i think still in glasgow (though i didnt get my stuff 342 as it was already reduced and i didnt want to go back and ask for that after having already had to go back for being charged for two eyeshadows and only having bought 1.) still on boots.com too so i think its ongoing at the moment.

i hope it works out, i feel for ya, please try not to worry bout it, Express your concern about the way the store /manager or sa handled the matter and how they made ya feel. Hope it gets resloved in your favour.

if it's any consolation similar things have been happening at Tesco's with people getting to till with vouchers and then being surrounded by Sa's and supervisors. Poor you, i really feel for you. Big Hugs.

That's totally the wrong way to go about things imo hotpot. Why surround someone like that? To let other customers know that they can, and will, use 'strong-armed' tactics to prevent them doing the same? If I saw it happening I'd never use the store again - Tesco, Boots, wherever. (I'm really tempted to mention basic human rights, but I'd better not.)

And what if they're wrong? (Which does happen)

Surely removing the 'potentially offending material 'as you call it, equates to sticking ones head in the sand. Or bolting the stable door after the horse has fled. If people have already read the post in question, erasure does not mean it did not happen. :silenced: :naughty: :silenced:

The point I think that passion was making was that it was posted in the first place. Should all those people who read it be brainwashed now? It will be on cached pages anyway, its in the public domain. Its not just a handful of people who saw it. Of all the people who post on here they represent only a tiny fraction of the people who actually read the Boots posts.

Saying 'come on girls this is normally a friendly thread 'sounds rather like we should just not have a brain or an opinion, if we do, we should just make sure we dont post it here, for fear of upsetting the applecart.

When Martin says be nice to moneysavers, I dont think he means the same as you IYSWIM.

It was suggested by another poster that the original post was edited and it was. I think that the OP has done as much as she can, under the circumstances, to limit exposure.

I understood what passion was saying. I agree that it's not a good idea to post such things here where there are impressionable people looking in. I was merely trying to remind people that it's nice to be nice (online or not!) - as for your comment regarding differences in interpretation/definition of the word nice, I'm not sure I do SWYM - being nice is being nice! What other way of being nice is there?

As for comments about brainwashing and not being allowed to have an opinion - I wasn't saying don't have opinions. The point I was making is that there's really no need to be nasty about expressing an opinion. Tact and diplomacy goes a long way - There's a difference between expressing an opinion assertively and being downright rude!

IMO this thread is usually friendly and I don't like animosity. I was expressing my opinion. It appears you are saying i shouldn't have done so.

In making my original post, it was my intention to try and avert further hijacking of the thread but all the best laid plans and all that....

Perhaps we could put these differences aside now and get back to the real reason we are all here - to bag a few bargains and save money in the process.

hi h007 and thanks for that, it reminded me that I'd bought a lot of the Naked range, mainly because it's usually reduced :o;) I put it away and forgot about it, but thought I'd have a clear out, so looked at some tube that looked like it was leaking. It was, but I got a whiff of it and the scent was lush.

It's definitely not going in any hampers - I'm keeping it, it's that nice ;)
