Dispute with Bellway Homes & 'Special Offer'

We have already got a little bit off - they won't move on any more.0
-
My problem is, why put it on the website, not tell their sales people and deny the vouchers for the customers?0
-
There is no lack of availability of John Lewis vouchers I can assure you.
Just tell them you are pulling out as they are in breach of contract. point out that since prices are dropping now you'll probably get a better deal elsewhere anyway.
Then decide if you want to accept their offer of £10k discount or not. They CANNOT afford to loose 1 single customer in the current market.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -
Thanks, I'll give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say. If anyone has any more advice, it would be gratefull received!!! Thanks everyone.0

do two things
1. ring up pretend to be interested in buying a new plot and mention thier offer.
2. advise your pulling out.For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
Did the sales advisor tell you about this, or is it just something that you saw on their website?Gone ... or have I?0

This is something we saw on the website - the sales advisor didn't mention it, until we did. And she says she knew nothing about it and couldn't put it in with the 'deal'! Today she said that they are trying to get it off the website. I've got a screen shot of the page, just in case!0

In that case it doesn't form part of your contract.
TrollFever has highlighted the relevant t&c's relating to the vouchers offer, and it would appear that it is not available for your plot.
The only hope that you have is that Bellway need your money and so will do anything to get a sale, in which case I would be asking for the discount in cash, not vouchers.Gone ... or have I?0 -
It wasnt mentioned to you when you purchased.. so its also very unlikely you used the mentioned mortgage broker, thats part of the offer, the vouchers are likely paid for with a kick back/incentive from the mortgage broker (an extra 0.1% on a 250,000 mort) for instance. I would kick up hell, and threaten to pull out, "as your finances are stretched" , buyers are like camberwell moths, a threatened species. Do an arnie(?) on him , march in, grab him by the cojonnes, hoist him in the air, and say "that was £6,500 of John Lewis vouchers, wasnt it?", snarl...
oh and ask to see Dave Price-rigger.:eek:tribuo veneratio ut alius quod they mos veneratio vos0
