Dispute with Bellway Homes & 'Special Offer'

I have a dispute with Bellway at the moment - Their website suggests that we would receive £5000 worth of John Lewis vouchers upon completion of the house we buy. It now appears that they say they cannot do this. I want the e-mail addy of the CEO, to see if he is aware this. The offer is still on their website! We laid a deposit down on the expectation of getting the'vouchers'. Anybody know if this is a 'scam' by Bellway?
Anybody know the CEO's e-mail address, or any advice?

It maybe worth printing out their webpages in addition to saving them onto your PC.
Did you speak to anyone about this before you made the purchase, if so, see if you can find out their name.
Good luck.0 -
epsilondraconis, Yes, I've already saved their web page with the 'special offer on it. I'm off to see them tomorrow about this and need some research about the legality side of things. Can they really post an offer on their website, and then say you can't have it?
There must be (internet) law against this?

Not sure from your post whether to you have agreed to buy, are thinking of whether to buy, or have exchanged or even completed?A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. We have agreed to buy and the house is being built now. Due to complete in July. I have spoken to the Sales Manager at the head office and she says that the Sales Director has said that NO vouchers will be issued, even if it is advertised on their site. When I asked why, they said 'They are subject to availability'. She said that the sales advisor that we have been in contact with us should have told us about these vouchers. But she says she knew nothing about them!
She wouldn't explain what - 'subject to availabilty' means. They wouldn't answer me when I asked whether they had them or not.
I asked them to place this in writing to me, with the reasoning behind the refusal to issue the vouchers on completion, they refused.
I might get in contact with an independant solicitor for this.0 -
Could you not ask for £5k off the price of the house, worth a try, especially the way the market is at the moment, would they rather loose a buyer or £5K?0
