    Are you sure there wasn't a seperate sheet, anything on the inside of the cover you have removed, or the underside of the hob anywhere?
  • Pretty sure - and if there was we certainly dont have it anymore. The kitchen fitters have cleared everythinng away now.

    Any ideas at all?

    cheers

    Whoa, fab photo but (as you probably suspected) tells us little new. Has Google not come up with anything. AEG have a technical helpline?

    Tried asking here?;

  • Hi there. Thanks for your comments. We have now worked it out. Terminals 1 and 2 (Linked with spare copper plate) are live and four and five (linked) are nuetral. Hope fully this infomartion will be of help to someone else, best advice woudl be to steer clear of AEG!

    Aha - you didn't mention the spare link!! That makes sense now. If terminal 3 had been populated then 1, 2 and 3 would have been for 3 phase (unlinked - 1 phase per terminal)
  • I have just purchased this cable and its 4 gang 2.5mm.

    Is this correct? didn't think 2.5mm was sufficient??

    I suppose the 2 live cables are if you don't have a connecting link?

    Appreciate any feedback guys.

    cheers

    I too have just purchased an AEG hob and found the reference to H05BB-F cable. I'm here as a result of googling that code and realising that no one in the UK seems to be selling such a cable. However, I've found someone who can supply this spec:

    3x6.0sqmm (Class 5 Flexible)
    Type SIHF Silicone/Silicone 300/500V Red
    Cores: Brown, Blue, Green/Yellow

    The notes say that SIHF is good up to 180 degrees C. Can anyone confirm whether this is good or not? I'm assuming that the temp raing is okay and that 6mm is good for a 7.4kW hob. Not sure what "Class 5 Flexible" means (hopefully that it is a bit bendy).
