  • Hi

What a scumbag, i'm afraid i can't give you any specific advice but have you thought about taking out an injunction on him & his partner. If they broke that they would get sent down. Also i think we now have an anti-stalking law in this county that carries a 6 yr sentance.

Finally i would write to your local force's chief contable to complain about that appalling response time.

    Best of luck.

    Good luck

Injunctions are really hard to get into force.....

If you do manage to get one, you must make sure you get the power of arrest with it....

I'll dumb it down for you.

Someone is asking for help in avoiding a violent ex.
You seem to be making smartass jokes about it.

  • moo842: I wondered if he had got my address from my credit file too but I have emailed credit expert who said that it was not possible for a 3rd party to obtain my credit record. Is this true??

headoutthesand: I am on friendsreunited but no address details and no clue as to where I am. I live about 70 miles away, but from previous experience I know he would travel hundreds of miles to get revenge on ANYONE.

bargainbird: He knew my address when I went bankrupt, the one that was published but none since. Good luck with your situation. Its quite scary.

I have to go to work in a bit, but thanks for all the "helpful" replies so far. I'll check in again in the morning when I get home.

And my answer is how does anyone think they can remain hiden this day and age. I feel sorry for anyone trying to HIDE from a violent ex partner. But she cant be supprised that she has been found.

  • Hello Again

Just another thought although you shouldn't have to do this but have you thought of changing your name by deed poll when you move again. It's not that expensive now & then change all your utility & telecon suppliers just in case he does have someone giving him info.

An ex work colleague of mine was being hasstled by an ex, turned out he had a mate working in BT giving him info.
  • my guess is ( and only a guess)...

you pay council tax which you ticked the do not appear on electoral roll box.
Your details get added to credit reference as change of address and the people after your house have written to you at old address with new address details or he has pursuaded them to give your details so 'as to help them reach an amicable conclusion'

Like I said a complete guess.

Does anyone know if you tick the anonimity box it ctill shows on your credit record as COA? I am sure I ticked that box for my last address but that address shows on my records and I didn't have any credit or mortgage at the time just the council tax and usual household bills
