I wasn't trying to preach, I'm trying to find out the truth.
If the world was full of people who didn't care about what was true just what felt good, then we would still be in the stone age. Once the evidence against what feels good becomes big enough, you take it personally - "Leave me alone, I'm happy not knowing things!" You can chose to ignore the fact you've been conned if you like, stick your fingers in your ears and shout as loud as you can, it wont change the truth. If that makes you feel happy, fine, but I think it's rather pathetic.
Now that was preaching. Now you can feel outraged at me and have the evidence to support it! Doesn't that feel better?0 -
Mathsstudent- shouldn't you be studying or something? You seem to have a lot of time on your hands.0

So the more I study, the more effective the medinose is? Is that your hypothesis?0

"I am normally quite a tolerant person, willing to listen to and consider different points of view, but mathsstudent just bores the pants off me!"

study all day in a north facing room without opening the windows until last thing at night and your hay fever symptoms will reduce. Wear your clothes for days without washing them too.;)
You don't need to know why, just that it will...:p
Same goes for Lloyds rudolf nose device, or a medinose, or a simple prayer, who cares - it might just be a placebbo effect, but if it works why worry?
It's better to walk around with eyes that don't look like I've been Ricky Hatton's sparring partner and not sneezing everywhere than to go without my little white device.
It doesn't alleviate all the symptoms, but then my hay fever tablets don't last a full day either. However, using them together can just about see me from April to October when my hayfever is in full throttle.:DMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Hadn't noticed this thread before, but pleased that its getting such good reviews. Hopefully will help me out about and stop me clawing at my eyesComping Fairy bring some luck my way! :dance:Love my Fiance Spiceboy :happyhear:iloveyou:0

I have the Lloyds one that I bought a couple of summers ago I think it was, following a thread on here. It has made a huge difference for me, I now rarely take anti-histamines and find doing the rudolph twice daily does the job nicely, unless the pollen count is very high. This is fantastic for me as I've had bad hayfever ever since I was two and have had some truly miserable summers.
My daughter has one too and thinks she doesn't have hayfever anymore bless her ! I do give her a half dose of anti-histamine daily as the device on its own doesn't seem to be enough.
With regards to whether it is the placebo affect or not, I personally do not care and will quite happily part with a one off payment of £15 (as it was then) as I've saved a fair whack on not buying anti-histamines, beconase and eye drops which I needed before.0 -
I too bought these last year from Lloyds, and they have made a huge difference. I very seldom have to take anti-histamines now. I havn't had to start using the Ioniser as yet, but have used the little red probes for a few weeks now. Once a day seems to be enough.
I only wish i had bought these much sooner, saved me a fortune on buying anti-histamines0 -
Apologies for my absence, I had this strange dream that people thought sticking lights up your nose would cure hayfever, then I woke up and found out it was true! Took me a few days to recover. You don't need to know why, just that it will...:p
I think that's one of Bernard Madoff's lines isn't it?0
