Hi Marshallka
Yes but if did not go to adjudicator they settled after reviewing the information:rolleyes:
Had to accept and got nice e mail as above explaining figures, this has been paid today into CC Account which is now settled. If I do not agree I can go back to them or FOS to query. Do you see what I mean though its all a.se about face.:mad:0 -

Yes it is the usual routine had same with Barclaycard loans but at least these people are not rude and unpleasant and so far have been helpful.
Do you see what I mean though how they have calculated the interest. Am I looking at it wrong thought I had the hang of this. If you see Tiggrae on here could you bump it up for me please.:D:mad:0 -
I have just looked through some old paperwork and discovered a car finance agreement dating to Sept 2004. This was for car finance from Carcraft in Newport with finance through GE Capital bank. The first thing I noticed was that PPI had been added, we have not taken out PPI on any finance since 1998 as I discovered it wasn't worth the paper is was written on! I also noticed that whilst it said this was optional the tick box had already been filled in with a computer generated 'tick' this PPI added a further £45 to the monthly payment.
I have also noticed that our copy of the credit agreement is not signed by GE Capital or an agent from Carcraft.
I know we have a chance to claim the PPI back but is there a case for reclaiming the loan itself as the credit agreement is not signed? We have since paid this off but I can't remember when.
Any advice gratefully appreciated!!0 -

Hi hun
This place is not far from me in Newport.
Carcraft to my knowledge had done this to a load of customers to what I can recall.
Someone may confirm here if these were covered by GISC at the time in case you decide to want to take this to the financial ombudsman if not successful in reclaiming this back.
However, I would write to them anyway and complain about what you have said above as fully as you can, and say this should have been optional etc.
Its worth trying to pursue this hun, go for it I say.;)

Just to say today I have received £1362 from HSBC. In addition, my loan has been restructured without PPI. This means I have saved about £2700 on the loan, and hopefully will be paid off in 9 months - about 18 months ahead of schedule!0
