I am the investigator - i will agree with that as i have to find out anything i can about these companies that rip people off and I will not settle until i have. Ask Di on that one, it does my head in to think of them sitting pretty leaving us to rot in hell. They will pay....

Okay then Sue your in hunni......:D

Yes Marshallka they WILL pay, I don't care if my claims takes years , I will not give in, but like you said the other day, okay I am changing the subject a bit here now, more staff are needed for these complaints when it comes to the FOS, they are totally over-run now by these complaints and they should expand these years or even go back as far as 2000 for these to be guaranteed to be looked at, these mis selling companies will never learn !!!

    Its shocking isn't it hun?........ , I know when I learnt of this I DID CRY.....

so i would have paid nearly £50,000 for a PPI policy to protect monthly payments on a loan of £55K which only protected me for the first 5 years of a 25 year policy!

No wonder they are happy to give back £13K as they still make £37K

Makes me more determined to ensure they don't keep a penny of that money!

There seems to b a number of Barclays Firstplus reclaim success stories i hope i can get added to this list.

    where you successful Di?

Its me that was claiming from them. Its with the FOS now as mine was taken out just before they became members of the GISC so i am going for unfair rebate on this one.

You are getting madder and madder now and i don't think you will be saying "How nice " they are for much longer when it sinks in what they have ripped you off for.

I heard that FOS does not really defend them as their terms and conditions are horrendous. Our Laini will tell you her success story I am sure.

    Good luck with your claim.

If you do not cancel then most definately !!

My loan was with Nemo personal finance, the loan advance total including ppi was almost £67K....... , its pathetic, and yet even though we cancelled this just missed the cooling period, we remortgaged, but still had to pay that same amount when settled.
And yes was successful after a hard time of 14 months fighting these, with the help of the FOS of course !!!

Poor Laini on here is having the hassle from these now...... and she dealt with First plus too.

Oh believe me i have learnt first hand how 'nice' Barclays Firstplus are.

I had a non-related ppi issue with them which i won't bore you with anyway it led me to gaining copies of telephone conversations with them. When i listened to the tape there was one particular conversation where the customer services lady puts me on hold and clearly says 'will someone please talk to this f..... p....' They sent a half hearted apology and sadly the FOS thought this was sufficient.

so i am under no illusion as to what i am about to face but the success stories on here give some hope of a positive outcome.
