Can I claim for mis-sold PPI if I applied for a loan on-line? I don't remember any questions about a PPI and I certainly had no one call me. All I got was the form to sign and send back, I deffo didn't tick any boxes.

Same with my credit card, when I opened my first direct bank account I was offered a credit card, but again do not remember any talk about the PPI.

Would this effect how the template letter would be worded?

Any help to a struggling single mum would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Sue
What dates etc and who with??. If you put the details of the loan and credit cards etc. someone may be able to help.

First you need to send off the first template letter and add/delete what is appropriate to you for both the loan and the credit card.

This needs to be sent recorded delivery (so if you need to go the FOS with it you have proof of the complaint) and you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response.

If after 8 weeks you have not got your complaint upheld then you can take it the Financial Ombudsman and let them deal with it if its within their jurisdiciton.

    Cheers hun.

It seems like forever doesn't it ?
Have you got to register with the liquidator too ?
The FSCS told me to do this....... but they will still deal with this anyway.;)

No my claim is only with the FSCS, I think Picture must be a bit further along than yours as the FSCS is asking Picture claims to go straight to them ,they must be pretty confident Picture have no money!:D

    Yep maybe hun.
I know Twopart/eloan liquidated in May 2008 where the liquidators take over, even though we were advised to take this straight to the FSCS, (by the FSCS themselves), I told them that we also had a letter from the liquidators who generally get involved when these companies liquidate/dissolve and was told that its procedure to register with the liquidators too, so now in the process of doing that, which may be a come back later on otherwise......

  • Does anyone know about a company called credit reclaim services? www.creditreclaimservices.com ? They called me out of the blue to tell me I'd been missold PPI with my mortgage almost 4 years ago....naturally I asked how they knew this and apparently it was via a data collection service? Their website seems quite real however I feel that if something sounds too good to be true it usually is! They say they'll charge me £49.50 to cover the cost of the admin (which I'll be refunded once my claim is heard & I've had my refund) and I could get between £800-£2000.....I wonder however if this is a conservative estimate and they are taking a percentage?

Should I just try myself? HELP!!! We're in financial hardship and this would really help us at the moment....thanks
