With my Endeavour its states the amount of insurance rebate has been calculated having regard to the Consumer Credit (Rebate on Early Settlement) Regulations 1983.

    Loan amount £21,000
    Single PPI £2835.00
    Total loan £23835.00

Interest rate 9.52% per annum, fixed for the first 12 months.
    300 months.

The total amount as seen in the SAR underwriters paperwork paid into that loan was that of £26,565.18.

    Balance at October 2005 £23561.73

Add interest to date of settlement £374.71

    Add future charges £40514.39

Total amount payable before deducting rebate £64450.83

Less amount of rebate (including insurance) £40924.79

Sub Total to legal fees £23526.04

    Add sealing fee £120

Total amount payable for setting on 30 Nov 2005 £23646.04
    .............................................................................................
They had actually rebated just over £1.5k off this in total.
What was the PPI rebate on this one??

    For me and AC.;)

My hubby reminded me today that when we were first turned away with the Endeavour complaint that by email the FOS sent us addresses of both the HFC and HSBC who were linked to these, to try and pursue, but then I moved on to the rebate instead without a second thought...... .

So the policy was £2835 and you got back £1533.69 after 16 months. Are you going to go for misselling then using the HFC??

  • Hi, I am new to posting, but have been reading these forums for ages, I am just after some advice, I am in the process of writing back to first plus declining their offer for my ppi reclaim. I am pretty sure we will have to go to the fos, but what I wanted to ask was, this is actually my second top up from my existing loan (all loans settled now), but I have only claimed ppi from 3rd top up, should I claim for the other two completely separately?

    Any help would be fantastic.

Its the interest charged on the PPI as well when you settled. Its not to do with the just the rebate.

You will have to decide what to do soon as they only give you 6 months to take this to the FOS from when you first complained??
