Di, going off early tonight as been hard working all day. Cleaning the patios etc. Still feeling rough but on the tabs again and must admit i am dead beat now but be back tomorrow. I think you may have a chance now with Click. Just have to ring them and ask if you can make the complaint and they can look. If not then go to Endeavour for the rebate.

  • After making a complaint to the bank of scotland, for mis-selling ppi insurance, which they dismissed my complaint, and forced me to take my complaint to the ombudsman, after he contacted them, they agreed to pay back, the ppi insurance money, plus 8% interest, plus compensation, they agreed to settle within one month, two months later, i`m still waiting, have had no corresponence from them, have phoned them up, but keep getting excuses, have been in touch with the ombudsman, and he said would be writing to them again, that was three weeks ago, now bank of scotland have been taken over by lloyds, does this affect my claim?

    Hi hun

I also had to wait a good while before I was paid out in one of mine.

I would send them a letter before action (LBA) and give them 14 days as from the letter to pay out before you take court action for this.

You will not go this far to the courts as they have already agreed to this and besides they do not want to pay anything further, but it may give them a good nudge to get this paid out to you.;)

Keep us posted. Good luck and also "well done" for winning this claim. ;) .

Does anyone know if PPI is monthly paid and was put on without being requested can the FOS look at it from the time the company was regulated?

Example : account opened 2000 ,company not authorised ,account cover added without knowledge monthly paid.
    2001 company authorised.
2008 account cover discovered on statements and queried and cancelled.

    DS1 12/10/04
    DS2 13/07/06
    DD1 06/12/07

Tiggrae says its the date in which its first put on that matters. Sarah asked the same about her credit card. They have to have been authorised at the point of sale. When you discovered it can matter if the company was authorised at the point of it being put on.
  • PPI reclaiming from M&S Loan 2000

Hi can anyone give any advice? Basically took out a loan in Oct 2000, for £10100.51 and the ppi was £2414.48 with interest it was £3455.76. It was payable over 84 months and i did settle it about 3 months early. Wrote to M&S asking for the ppi back as i believe i was mis-sold it and had a letter back saying that, they wouldnt be refunding any premiums paid as at the time i took out the loan, they were not regulated by the FSA, and in addition was not registered with the GISC. Therefore when the policy was sold M&S Finanicial Services acted in its capacity of an unauthorised intermediary and as such the sale does not fall within my voluntary jurisdiction, so they will not be refunding any premiums. Do i have any leg to stand on by taking it to the FOS?
any advice will be greatly received.
    thanks
