I have more to reclaim on the Endeavour really, which M Colak worked out for me and yet it was a smaller loan and ppi.
And this "End" one is the "unfair rebate".

Just a quick update... I kept at GE Money and got a copy of my National Insurance contributions from 1997. Told them there was nothing more I could do to prove I wasn't working. Thought that would be the end of it since it is over 11 years since the account was opened and six since it was closed. Today I got a letter from GE Money saying they were now satisfied that the PPI was not suitable!!! They are refunding the following:
    Premiums: £221.63
    Interest: £205.69
Loss of Cash payment: £217.02 (goodwill gesture payment!!!!!)
    TOTAL: 644.34

Hurrah!!!!!!!!! Anyone out there chasing them, don't give up!!!

Wow, well done and many congratulations......:j  .

Personally hun I do think you have a strong case here.;)

These companies do my head in.....
I am going to ring the ombudsman on monday to ask if i can put another complaint in, not about the PPI, but about the settlement again of the loan. I understand they are two different complaints now and i want something doing. My last one was thrown back but they cannot throw it back as Barclays t/a firstplus. Its made me mad again:mad: .

Do you think they will let me reopen the other one with a different name of the company now being barclays. Its was 30th June that they wrote back and now looking I had til 14th July to get back. This is why i need to know what they are doing about my new one for unfair rebate. I don't think you have two different complaints going on the same loan at the same time.

Just re read it properly and that was all your own work and it paid off for you not to give in. Wow and from 1997 also.

I think it will be a good idea to mention this, as this will be verbally they cannot change this without your consent anyway, but I think its well worth mentioning this hun.

I do recall on being told by the FOS now that my husband had to fill in 2 forms for his complaint of PPI with Lloyds ts, as he has 2 complaints in about these, I only have the one in at the moment.

Just Co-op and Firstplus. Only ever had the two....

Firstplus has had to start from scratch again though.

Still it all adds up doesn't it hunni ?;)

I have to deal with my son's store card too, he was a uni student when he was sold a burtons card with ppi, he has paid it all off now this month, so just waiting for his last statement on this, then time to reclaim, want to make sure the statement also comes back as £0 balance.

I do have a really old one but don't think there is any point with it really.

I had purchased a washing machine back in about 1997, it was to pay back on a monthly basis, came across the old statements and note there was cover added to it........ .
    This was GE CAP bank.......

Its only two but huge amounts involved (well huge to me anyway - the co-op ones are totalling 8K without interest etc)

I would get on with your smaller ones. We had car loans but they are back to 1998 etc and not with banks so not worth claiming.

I only want these large ones sorting as this is what put us so far back.
