Disagreeing on amount and one loan they seemed to have forgotten,
So did you then request it go before an adjudicator?? If its just them making a goodwill gesture and you are not happy then your original complaint needs to go in to the adjudicator.

Surely if it was dealt with before the adjudicator even looked into it then it needs to go to one to be dealt with. Perhaps it never was the FOS that upheld it in that before they had time to look they had this offer from Barclays and then asked if you would accept it (some would some wouldn't)??? FOS probably never had dealings with the figures??

Let me go through my bank statements online and I'll see the cheque going in.
Thats the best thing cause it really is looking like you had none put on??

Were your repayments just the £204 odd per month.?? Did you make any other seperate payments to another company or loan in that it was on a seperate agreement???
  • marshallka wrote: »
So did you actually borrow £10,800 and receive that amount from them??

Because looking here if you did there was no ppi paid if your repayments were actually £204.67 per month

    Enter loan details

    Loan amount (£) 11000
    Repayment period in years 7
    Annual interest rate (%) 15.4
Number of payments per year 12

    Results

    Amount per repayment (£) 214.74
Total paid over the life of the loan (£) 18038.20
Total interest paid during loan (£)7038.20

Im sorry I really cant remember what the the value of the cheque was for. I think I need to make a call to HFC tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty confident as I have signed and dated the PPI document and on there there is a "Y" next to "Single Life, Disability and unemployment" cover. I will keep you informed tomorrow after the call. Many thanks for you're help so far.

Seems to me like none was put on... Its so funny as the ones that actually tick yes don't get it and then the ones that clearly state "no PPI" do:confused: .

    Let us know tomorrow.:D

No has gone before an adjudicator. What I was meaning was that I had no mail beforehand saying that your complaint has gone to an adjudicator. Just got letter from FOS which was copy they had sent to Barclays saying complaint had been upheld and telling them how to sort it out. That was April we are now in Sept and it is still ongoing:rolleyes:

catinthehat, why not start a thread of the FLA as on Martins PPI thingy it says about the FLA but also states that he has had no feedback as yet. Perhaps this may help others.

    Good old FLA i say!!!!!

This is gonna sound sooooooooooooooooooooo stupid - I don't actually know how to start a new thread!!!! My response was from GE money but they are 'sorry that I referred my complaint to the FLA'. Anyway, they obviously have had some sort of intervention, not sure what???!!!

  • Just wondering if someone can answer a question for me?
I've used Martins template to claim back my PPI cash from Capital One. It's signed sealed and just about to be delivered. Anyway! Im currently on an IPP (Informal Payment Plan) and Capital One are one of my creditors who are on it. Will I have any trouble from Capital One for attempting to claim back my Payment Protection Insurance.....basically can I do it and will it affect my IPP agreement??? Cheers.

    Hi Home James

It is very frustrating and \I am glad you have posted cause I feel lonely on here cause nobody else seems to be having probs with FOS. Have you gone back to them and complained or what has happened so far.

I'm sure you can - We have had several credit cards which were with DCA's and also a Barclaycard and another credit card which were CCJ's and we have been successful in all our claims, they are not for PPI but charges and our claims were taken off what we owed them and in most cases we were given cheques as they owed us more money than we owed them!!!!!:j If you know what I mean!!!!!
