Sorry if i confused you here. It was just a joke.:o I hope you have not taken offense.
Have they telephoned with a figure of what they are paying you yet. Let us know when they have and someone will no doubt check it for you. They will come up with a figure (i think) and then before accepting get it posted with all the details again on here and hopefully Tiggrae will be on soon and she will be able to check it through.
i am so stressed out that i have not! even noticed a joke, and it was a good one by the way, no offense taken whatsoever, yes as soon as i know something will post it here... what would i do without you clever people??????? ta

I have some questions relating to all that is happening with Picture. I have been trying to reclaim the PPI for a few months now and seem to be getting nowhere with them. I dont believe the facts where laid out correctly at the point of sale. The main issue I have is that the keep referring to the fact that after 3 years you get 25% back and 15% after 4 and 10% after 5. Does the fact Picture are in trouble put these payments at risk. I am not prepared to stop fighting the PPI but concerned I may not get anything back at all.0

What was the date of your PPI with them?? Also if you have been trying for a few months have they not given you a final response yet?
If you are referring to the fact that Picture are in liquidation then there is always the FSCS http://www.fscs.org.uk/consumer/. If you take a look through the link you will get some idea that all is not lost yet.0 -

Hi there
Yes unfortunately Picture are no longer trading, but I am baffled if you have not received a letter from their liquidators to confirm this, because what normally happens is that if you have been writing to the loan company these letters are forwarded onto the liquidators, they should write to you to confirm this.
If you get the chance read back on these forums where others are in the same situation as yourself, I am too, but about another company and going through this now with the FCSC (Compensation scheme), Marshallka have added the link above for you.;)
You could also contact the FSCS who may be able to confirm this to you because I know others here have gone through these trying to claim compo due to Picture no longer running.
If you require further info just give us a yell.;)
Good luck !
Di.

I received a letter saying no but then sent a further letter a couple of months ago outlining the reason why I disagree with their response. Basically PPi was never explained and the real cost was also never explained even though I asked for written confirmation on what the overall interest on the PPI would be. I have not heard anything since. I am just concerned that even though the 50% refund is a drop in the ocean compared to what it costs but is there a chance the liquidation would have an effect on this.0

Your 50% refund is not affected by Picture being in receivership. The insurance company pays this out.DS1 12/10/04
DS2 13/07/06

We took the loan out in September 2006. The final response I received basically said everything had been explained to me and I should have read the booklet re PPI. The cover is pointless as I have a high enough cover with my work to cover these things and this was pointed out at the time.0 -
