Yes I will hun, as soon as I had post I will let you know, but I do have a bad feeling that I will hear nothing again...... .

Then it will be another letter.

Although over the weekend I did email HFC as I assume all the complaints are dealt with through them now because the addy I had to send it to was that of HFC.
They state they are unable to clarify anything by email due to security reasons, then why have a flippin email contact addy ?

Afterall this was not really personal as such I just wanted to know if they were dealing with the letter and if one was sent out yet  .
Endeavour does not have direct email addy, well not for our use anyway:rolleyes: .

    Cheers hunni.

    Hi all,

Just a quickie and I feel quite silly for asking, but here goes anyway. We've got a loan with First Plus (yes i know now that was a bad move, hadn't discovered this site by then). We were sold the PPI, well DH was on the phone, he didn't realise it was a single premium and it was sold to him that it was more like a savings plan as we could get all of the money back that we had paid after the 5 years (same old story).
We're 4 years into it now, am I able to reclaim as we are still in the policy, I'm sure I read somewhere on here that you can't?
We looked at canx the policy at some point last year and they offered us £400, having looked at the original documents, the PPI is an additional £13k on top of our loan...we declined the £400 (obviously).
Am I ok to start with the templates or do I have to wait?
    Any advice greatly received.

    Thanks all

    Hi there.

There is no harm in trying.;)

The only issue against you really is if they were regulated or not, maybe someone could confirm this.

However, I do know that some have been successful, so as you feel you have grounds for complaint, then sent a complaint letter, there is a reclaim complaint template on the front page, check what occurs to you and delete what does not.;)

Good luck and if you require further info just give us a yell.;)

    Hi everyone,

Newbie here with a quick question about PPI reclaiming. I am trying to reclaim the loan insurance on my fiance's Halifax loan, he used their courier service so when he signed the agreement he was at home and the courier was waiting for him to sign. Do you think I should mention this in the reclaim letter as I am presuming the courier had no financial training and he felt under pressure to get it signed quickly?

    Any help much appreciated, thanks

Firstplus were members of GISC in November, 2001 so if you send a complaint in and they refuse you are able to take your complaint to the FOS. I would certainly go for the misselling. FIrstplus always make out that they are giving you a good deal but you are actually paying interest on that PPI policy for the full term of the loan and not just the 5 years it covers so it costs you a fortune in the end.

    Hi there Helen.
If you believe this is a cause for concern then maybe you could do this, if it were their own personal courier that Halifax use and your fiance's felt rushed and did not have the chance to look into this then maybe it would do no harm to bring this into the complaint.

However they may argue that after he signed there was a cooling period, such as 30 days where he may have had the chance to cancel.

This sort of thing is new to me because we have always had these sort of things through the post as normal.

Your fiance though may still have been mis sold for other reasons, maybe this was not explained to him and maybe he would not have been eligible.

I would check out the front page (reclaim £1,000's) and check out the list, get the template letter done, and delete what does not occur to your other half.;)

    Good luck !

We are in the same situation as you - we took out our FIRSTPLUS loan 4 years ago - didn't even realise we had this on our loan, we haven't paid it off, but we are taking FP to FOS - our PPI is additional £5K
